Goal - 145lbs
7/3/2020: 237.0
12/29/2020: 187.1
3/19/2021: 187.9
10/4/2021: 217.0
1/2/2022: 200.7
2/1/2022: 195.6
3/1/2022: 187.8

Riding the waves the last 20 months. Noom and counting calories to go from 237 to 187, stress-induced lack of discipline to climb back to 217, Noom again to get back to about 200, and now I've been doing carnivore and counting calories for the last 6 weeks to get down to 187 again.

Carnivore has been more sustainable than I thought. Not intending to do it forever, but hoping to stick to it for at least another 10-20 pounds. Adding in more exercise to make sure maintain muscle mass.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but it's outrageously annoying how fast progress can disappear.

ABatt '08. Bagger doesn't know it, but he was my XO when I was a fish. At least I'm nearly certain. Can't imagine too many class of '05 who also happened to have bagger on the back of their pt shirts.

For the last few weeks I have been bouncing between 222 and 227. Frustrating, but not giving up.

New low weight today. Also all of my body fat percentage estimates are below 20%.

Continuing to make solid, steady progress. 7-day average weight is trending down at about a pound a week.

Still up 4 pounds since originally posting on this thread. All diet related unfortunately.

Still about 4 months away from hitting any primary goals (want to bench, row over my body weight at 225 for first time in my life) on StrongLifts since starting with almost just the bar weight a few months ago. Having the weights in my garage has really helped me be consistent.

Been plateaued here for most of the month, though I did go on vacation and haven't been as disciplined as I want. Better than going the wrong direction but it's time to refocus.

Lost a lot of weight in the first 2 months. Slow going now but going in the right direction and that's all that matters to me. I can see some abs now. I'm paying more attention to the mirror now than the scale.

I've been gaining about 5 lb per year the last few years. Started trying to reverse the momentum two weeks ago and I've lost 8 lbs. I assume most of those initial results are water but it's an encouraging start.

I've had a couple weigh-ins at the 159.X but I'm still fluctuating up to 161/163 so I'm hesitant to say I'm in the 150's. With IMTX 4wks out, I'll probably just settle into a holding pattern and pick back up come May.

Just got diagnosed with hypothyroidism yesterday. Hopefully once the meds get my thyroid back in line I'll start losing some more weight again. Been stalled out for several months. My test was normal back in August of last year.

Every time I've plateaued I've reviewed my diet and what my next step would be to improve it. Reduce/eliminate sugar? Dairy? Adjust eating schedule?

Don't really know the specific answer to your situation. Answer isn't always fun or easy. But that's how I've always beat the plateau. I'm on one now myself and dreading what else I may have to lose or change about my own diet.

Current weight 238. Been at about the same weight now for about 2 weeks. Peleton at least 5 days a week 45 minutes each. Push ups and sit ups a few times a week.

Had an RMR test done last month which showed my resting metabolic rate to be 1570 kcal. Only carbs come from fresh fruit and berries, leafy greens, broccoli, caulifower, etc. Fats from olive oil, avocado, and oily fish. No starches. No booze. No dairy/eggs.

Because of my RMR at 1570 (which seems really low, btw), and a goal of 2 pounds per week lost, i figured i needed a calorie deficit of 1000 kcal per day. I upped my exercise to 600 per day, and dropped my diet to 1200 kcal per day to create a 900 kcal deficit. Lose 4 pounds quickly then plateau hit and I have been stuck, along with very hungry and fatigued.

Any suggestions? Raise calorie consumption? Macro goals? By how much? Less cardio, more strength?
