Pena has done nothing this whole playoffs. He has 1 RBI, I think, total?

But yes, why Singleton there? Because he's a Lefty? But he did have a good AB and got to do count and fouled off a few pitches.

However it made me sense to have Yainer or Chas pinch hit

Have you actually watched any of the games? Those stats aren't close to accurate for the postseason, much less his last 7 games (he hit a little better in the Twins series, but still crap).

He's been awful in these playoffs and especially this series.

It's mind boggling how anyone who watched any of these games could think Pena has been "really good" at the plate.

In all fairness, I have been working or driving home during 90% of most games and catching as much as I could when I can. I know I caught that one double so I was like "I remember his having some good at bats" so I went and looked up the stats to see if I was crazy.

True. At least Pena is still a hell of a fielder. Tucker looks like he just doesn't GAF anymore and wants the season over. That bloop single last night that he barely even attempted to get to, and then the HR that regular season Tucker would have caught 10 times out of 10 that changed the entire complexion of the game were inexcuseable.

McCormick needs to play in his place, Tucker needs to sit this game and even the series if we win.

Yeah, something's up with Tucker. He's always pretty stoic but right now he looks like he doesn't GAF.

Maybe he's hurt?

One of my buddies told me we are 3 for 54 with RISP at home during this series. I couldn't immediately verify that but if it's true, that is beyond atrocious! Just wow!

Frankly they did better than I expected this season with all the injuries but can't even win one damn game at home. Again. The hell is wrong with this team at Minute Maid. Even got swept by the crap ass Royals to end the season there.

Having said that, the bright spot is I've been really impressed with Maldy's handling of the pitchers tonight. Sure, he's batting .148, but if not for his handling who knows where we'd be.

Yes, Yainer might've been a 30/100 breakout superstar catcher had we played him every day, but...intangibles man.

Ok but you realize he isnt going to be called on again until at least friday and this could be last game of the season? He can't be asked to stretch an extra out or 3? Same with Brown. Guy was a starter all season and was doing well.

Dusty not intentionally walking Garcia with runners on second & third with one out, down by four has to be one the dumbest decisions I have ever seen in baseball.
