I'll own up to that one. My first game at the juice box this year. We got up from our seats to watch what should have been that last at bat and were planning to bounce as soon as the game ended. I'll not do that again.

I mean I agree on both...but if literally any other player had the night Maldy had last night and was benched today it'd be 20 pages of Dusty bashing on the MLB thread.....well everything is, which is why I don't venture over there much anymore.....

And with JP, I assume he's just trying to get him somewhere he's comfortable. We need him to turn it around....

I'm more over the won't hit Tucker and Yordan back to back, but is what it is. Besides, the chance of that having any kind of meaningful impact on the game is small. And I also like Yordan behind Bregman because he has such a good eye.

Dusty Baker said he was going to hit Alvarez third, but Alvarez wanted Tucker to stay at third. Alvarez and Tucker discussed the lineup composition and came to that agreement.

Good thing Dusty didn't DH Diaz as he clearly knew Maldy would get ejected. Dude is always one step ahead.

So wtf happened to get Maldy ejected? Just tuned in to hear he and Simien were ejected, but no discussion since about what happened on the radio broadcast.

Looking for 2 tixs vs Padres, any game. Spent 15 years in SD, would love to see the Stros beart their asses just to rub it in my friends faces.

But Petco is an amazing ballpark.

Based on watching with no sound, for no reason basically except that somebody needed to be. Bregman hit a home run, the Rangers immediately hit Yordan in his first AB back, then both benches were warned when Framber hit Simien in retaliation. Later the Rangers hit a grand slam with Simien on base and he makes a big show of stomping on home plate with both feet, Maldonado and he yell at each other, benches clear but its all a bunch of nothing and the umps probably basically decided that somebody has to get kicked out of this game the way its going and those two were the instigators of the benches clearing.

Semien hit a homer in his at bat after getting hit by Framber. He stared Framber down circling the bases and was jawing coming down the third base line.

He and Maldy had words then.

Then when Garcia hit the granny Semien jumped on home plate and said something to Maldy and Maldy chirped back. That's where it escalated.

I think the umps did a smart thing getting Semien and Maldy out of the game. It was a blowout and pretty clear tensions were rising likely not going away. No need for it.

My biggest issue is Framber is supposed to be our bona fide ace and stopper. I think I read he's given up 15 runs in his last 15 innings.

Luckily he's got a $100 million reasons to get straightened out. He may want to call Correra to get an ass chewing to get his head on right.

I'm not sure he hit Semien on purpose but whatever the reason he spiraled quickly after it happened. Not a good look for a man that wants a big contract.

Verlander couldn't carry Ryan's jock. And while he was nails for us, I don't have that feeling of betrayal if he goes elsewhere. He was always a hired gun. Oh yeah, and he chokes in the playoffs.

I certainly wouldn't feel any betrayal by Verlander but all things being equal I don't want another Nolan situation where the Rangers have any claim to him.

I agree Verlander isn't Ryan but he's a first ballot HOF. Ideally it would be great if he's not connected to the Rangers.

That's not a factor in moving for him but it's something I'd prefer to avoid.

The sad part is the Astros need starting pitching in a bad way. The bullpen is absolutely taxed because we have a lot of young arms and the bats have kept us in tight games.

Not saying Verlander is the guy but we need someone who can eat innings and limit runs every 5th start the final two months of the season.

I think that's the biggest need above everything else right now.

In the off-season it wasn't.

As we stand now we're in a situation where our starting pitching has been decimated. LMJ and Garcia lost for the year. Hunter Brown not developing. Urquidy waiting to come back from injury. Framber and Christian trying to figure out struggles.

J.P. France as it stands right now is our best starter but you have no idea of his durability the rest of the way.

We're 2 back in our division and +1 in the Wild Card.

Verlander is not the savior but he's been doing much better of late with the Mets. Depending on what you can get him for it's worth the discussion.

I certainly don't want him with the Rangers all things considered.
