Double murder in my old hood yesterday at 9am. Right next to Bahama Buck's/Fratelli's strip center at I-10 frontage between Kirkwood and Wilcrest. Guy killed the gf he had been abusing and then blew her mom's head off in front of cops and started shooting at them. Luckily they shot him but he lived.

If he is dark enough, he may be back out on the streets within 10 years, maybe 5, we'll see.

Saw it in the morning on the way to church...figured some place had just been robbed when I saw cop cars etc. but then I saw media vans setting up and realized it must be more serious.

I rolled up there on my bike later in the day to ask a couple bystanders what had happened and this shell shocked guy was giving me the rundown, he then drops the bomb on me that his sister and mom were the ones killed and I was not ready for that curveball. Was very, very sad...but he was only beginning to process it I think. I can't even imagine.

There was an article yesterday about a murder at a tattoo shop. Dude got arrested and charged with murder. Bail was set at $50K!!! How was it not set at $1M??!!!

I never watch the local news but turned the tv back in at 10 and it was in KPRC and they said we have multiple breaking stories to bring you so I stayed on the channel. Three of them. All three shootings. I bet at least one is out on bond.

I dont see that having much effect. Most people that want to carry have already gone through the process of getting the LTC. Criminals aren't killing law abiding people for the most part, they are killing each other or people in their general areas. I also don't think the average person pays much attention to what the lege does.

Honestly I think your opinion is the conservative version of the lefts "there will be blood in the streets"
