Wine garden was packed-as-f last night for Gary P. Too bad we didn't have the energy to stay after they said he wasn't starting at 630 after all...

Heard the Hideout had a ridiculous line to get in.

Felt like a discount night crowd last night.

The only thing that I've noticed going up is the grounds tickets. I think they went up to $15 now, when 10 years ago they were $5-$7.

I'm sure there's a lot of people still recovering from Harvey that are taking this year off. Even Luke Bryan night, which is normally a s*** show, wasn't that bad.

Next week is spring break, it's going to be a cluster F.

We had a table and waited until around 7:20, then left for the EAC party. Once the concert let out, the WG was way too crowded

Wonder how much of that has to do with outrageous prices for everything from carnival rides/games to nachos to parking. Taking a family of 3 to 5 or more can be insanely expensive. Not to me obvi as I am a texagger therefore I'm worth millions in my 30's...but to the common man, $10 to ride a single ride and $10 for a tall boy adds up. Haven't been in 4 yrs or so. Has it been this expensive in recent yrs. I was blown away. Could have sworn I saw a sign for $20 nachos inside NRG but maybe I was drunk and misread?

Will be bringing in flasks going fwd (even though I'm pretty rich).
Agnerd's cheapskate way to do the rodeo:

Park downtown for free, take the train to rodeo. $2
Eat lunch or dinner before you go and pregame on the train.
Don't ride death trap carnival rides.
Buy tickets from the rodeo at face value when they first go on sale. $18+
Go see all the free stuff like pig races, mutton bustin, exhibits.
Invite someone in the Corral club to go with you because they get $4 drink tickets.

Sorry, can't afford the baller Memorial Villages Cowboy lifestyle of hanging out at the Rodeo every day and night watching for appearances of local minor celebrities.

Rodeo was a lot easier to do when I lived inside the loop, had less work responsibilites and no kid.

Now all three of those things have changed and it is funny how quickly the insignificant bullsh t like HLSR and Aggie football weekends have fallen off my list of priorities.

We're well past the time when I could go out and drink more than 2 or 3 nights in a row without wanting to hibernate.

But I'll be making an appearance tonight and dutifully drink the one or two beers I can afford.

Did you hear that Jimbo Fisher is our new coach? He's won a national championship trophy.

yep still have a few less f cks to give.

Gig em jimbo, I'll be pissing in my own home and drinking cheaper beer whilst I regale myself on memories of yon elder days of northgate and tailgating...

Gave up season tickets due to being priced out of 110 and the sun still rises in the east.

To each their own. I do find the irony and hypocrisy rich in how you are posting on an Aggie forum about HLSR while calling it insignificant bullsh t.

Going this Saturday. The website says the time is at 3:45 PM. Is that when the rodeo events get going or is that when the concert starts?

Same thing he said with Aggie football. Hell I have a buddy with 5 kids that still loves the sh-t out of Aggie football and makes it a priority to go to a couple of games per year.
