What's the deal with Shiner being $8+ a sixer at HEB lately? Want to try wild hare but I'm not paying that kind of premium.
Didn't think 8 bucks was that bad for a sixer; hop prices?
The prices for shiner are cheaper at krogers. Not sure why heb is so high on shiner.
I wouldn't pay $8+ for Wild Hare.
Been at The Fredericksberg Brewery a few times this weekend. The Giant (special edition stout) and the helles are superb.
Hay Merchant will have St Arnold Endeavour pints for $3 and $10 growler fills until 8pm tomorrow to celebrate the release.
i see No Label is releasing a Jalapeno Ale in a couple weeks. im not raising my hopes as other chile beers have tended to suck balls.

Their burgers are awesome. The slider plate is a good way to sample three different styles of their burgers.
They are glad to let you sample before you buy a whole pint.
The parmesan & rosemary fries are top notch.

Sweet potato fries are kick ass.
You can also get 1/2 pints, if there are any real big beers on tap and don't want a full one.
Happy hour is until 7. $1 off beers. You'll be surprised how cheap their beers are.
The regulars usually sit at the bar, if you wanna talk beer with anyone, that's the place to sit.

Heb had awesome prices on brew as mentioned above. No Texas beer was over 7.50

I picked up some for my wife this morning at the Kroger at Kirby and Main.
I swung by there and they are alread sold out, I'll try again later
deschutes red chairon still on sale at heb for 6.97
Looking forward to Karbach coming on Monday. Just left the brewry tour. Good group of guys with a great backing. For the time being they have been canning all of the rodeo clown that is why it has not been on tap.

Word of warning...if the owner of D&Q tells you to try a ghost face killer "just to say you did it" just say no. Learn from mine and agmechanics mistake. No beer brewed with ghost peppers, serranos, habaneros, fresnos and probably some other damn chili pepper should ever be consumed. On the other hand it would probably be damn good in a pot of chili.

If anyone is still looking for it, HEB Buffalo Market had a several cases of Strawberry Harvest on display today.
Review of Shiner Wild Hare Pale Ale:
Let me start by saying that I'm not usually a fan of most Shiners (the regular one is fine but all the new ones are usually subpar...IMO). I think I like this one. Its more of a light Pale Ale so people that don't like a typical Pale Ale might like it (and hardcore Pale Ale fans might hate it? idk). Overall I'm a fan. $6.99 at Kroger which is the standard price that I usually pay.
Not that it matters...but I think the bottle looks cool. Like the color combo.

Today has been a great day to enjoy the northwest pale ale. Not a big hop head and it is a great amount of hops.
