also had Karbach 'Sympathy' lager at Backyard tonight... another damn fine brew from those guys. Im looking forward to everything Karbach is putting out, cant wait to try thier IIPA!
yep, the waitress said the owner is making them all become "Beer-istas" focusing on Texas craft beers and having them all taste and memorize the new offerings.
Im excited to see the owner get excited about local & state craftbrews, along with the other craft offerings they have.
I also signed up for the beer club tonight, sounds like we need to start hitting BYG weekly for a HH.
Santo is pretty tasty. I agree that the mouthfeel reminded me of lawnmover when I first tried it. Can't wait to try it on tap. Probably won't be a staple in my fridge, but I would have no problem picking up a sixer every so often. Feel like this would be a great tailgating beer.
And jetch, let's hit BYG one day next week for HH.
Ada, I had the rodeo clown DIPA last night as well with my dinner at BRC. I agree with you. It was good, but malty and not the hop bomb I was expecting. They had Santo on tap but we ended up getting a few bottles of wine so I never got around to trying it. They also had Clutch still available on tap.
I'm going to disagree with you on this one. The muscat grapes and honey together were too much. It was interesting at first, but by the end I thought it was too sweet.
