Getting 33 degree rain here in Lakewood. It's miserable. Oh and main water line a block away broke and no water.
Here it's changed from sleet to big snow flakes and back several times. 31 degrees on my weather station. Kids already had a round in the snow

My suspicion is that the private company that operates and maintains the express lanes does not have nearly the same level of immunity from liability suits that TxDOT enjoys. As a result of the big crash, its cheaper to just close the system for the winter weather event than it is to try to maintain it in such a fashion they don't get sued. I love how TXDOT just automatically closes all the express lanes whenever there's bad weather. After that bad accident a few years back in Fort Worth (and it turned out they hadn't treated that stretch for over a day), they no longer even try to keep them open.

I think temps are going to stay where they are. If you're catching snow now, anything that falls rest of day is going to be snow.
If you're getting sleet, you're "worst case" is going to be more sleet, but still a good chance it turns to snow later.
If you're south of the metro and getting rain, might be SOL.

SW Fort Worth was sleet for a good bit but finally getting snow.

Yeah I don't see much changing in the forms of your current precipitation till about 9 or 10 pm tonight.
Those who are more south will need that low to move more east to get that back end wrap from the north to bring colder air.
We've been going back and forth from sleet to snow at Preston/Forest but it looks to be mainly snow now

West of Denton has been getting hammered with heavy snow. Ground was completely covered in 15 minutes.

Temp has dropped to 30 here in south Celina. Snow is coming down heavy to the point visibility and issue.

I'm roughly at RM2871 and 377 (slightly SW of that)…. I have not seen any snow (not even flurries). I got light rain for a couple minutes a couple hours ago, but that's it. I have been sitting on my back porch drinking coffee and reading.
Pretty much just sleet/ice in aledo. Still debating whether to drive across the metroplex around midday. Looks like precip will take a break and temps are right above freezing then

It's amazing the difference a few miles makes! I still have nothing at my house. (just SW of RM2871 and 377).
Just a few minutes down 377 to Kelly Rd and it's all frozen precip, no rain but not really flakes either
