hopefully the new map does not have those climbing issues

No kidding. I'm tired of not being able to mantle and dying to circle.

Having to choose between overkill and ghost....
We usually go overkill on the first load out that we buy and get ghost at one that drops later so we can be ghosted with 2 primaries.

I have ghost on all but a couple loadouts where I have MP5 or sniper as my overkill weapon. I've been running double time/ghost/amped with M4 and combat knife. The speed you have with double time and a knife is insane.

This is what we do as well. Usually have enough cash to buy our loadout before the first one drops. Overkill and cold-blooded for our two primaries and then ghost on the 2nd.

In solos, I always get ghost with the loadout I buy. I have I ghost with an assault, another with an smg, and another with a sniper. I have a 4th ghost loadout that is "fully loaded" where assault rifle has fully loaded perk. I pick the loadout I need based on what serviceable weapons I was able to find on floor loot. Currently there are a lot of useful smgs, so I am usually getting my ghost/assault loadout. I rarely risk pushing my "free" loadout.

However, I have found that being in certain places on the map, you can almost guarantee where this "free" loadout will fall making it safer to pick up, i.e. if you are in the "spiral" on the South side of the map when the first circle closes, your loadout will always fall in the park just to the North. Just make sure no one is running out of the fire station and it is an easy grab.

In squads, we typically decide on "ghost or guns" based on how the game is playing out. I don't think ghost is as important in squads as if one of you doesn't have it, opponents will underestimate your squad size and will potentially make a reckless push. Typically, if we have been able to buy our loadout and in a good spot, we get guns (EOD, overkill, amp). We then pick up ghost with the free loadout (EOD, ghost, amp).

I honestly can't remember the last time going for the free load out at the end of the first circle closure got me killed

I was going to reply to your earlier question about perks, but it looks like others do the same thing I do.

My normal load is EOD - Overkill - Amped with M4 and HDR. For late game I have an MP5 build that runs EOD - Ghost - Amped. I drop my HDR for my MP5 so I have M4/MP5 and still run Ghost.

And yes, I know everyone runs the broken Grau, but I love my M4 and that crap is getting nerfed.

Don't buy self and save up for a uav to call when the loadout drops in quads and trios.

Late game UAV's reveal that the majority of players are using ghost. That and a monolithic suppressor are huge for not giving away position and being hunted late game.
Aggie_Boomin 21
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah in a typical match no one in my usual squad buys self without already having a uav ready

I absolutely love Tracker as my 3rd perk, especially late game when people are more likely to start camping buildings. As far as i can tell, ghost and cold-blooded don't counter it.

If someone buys self-revive before putting in on loadout/uav or killstreaks that's a big time selfish move

I've been trying amped as my 3rd perk the last couple of days and like it since I've switched to the AR/SMG combo. Also, due to the abundance of floor loot MP7s early game this season, I rarely grab an overload loadout and get my Ghost AR right away. I'll just use the mp7 until the global loadout drops and add my mp5 then.

I bought a gaming mouse a few days ago as I consider going to pc or possibly mouse/keyboard on ps4. Just for fun I plugged it in to use on ps4. It jerked around way too much and obviously I'd have to get used to it and get the settings right. But, just messing around with it I found 2 huge advantages... Having a key set for tactical Sprint made running sooo much easier. I can't ever get tactical Sprint to work right on any setting with a controller. I was able to run and Sprint easy and it doesn't stop in the middle of the tactical Sprint like it does with my controller. 2 changing weapons with a mouse flywheel was a much faster animation and easier to cycle weapons than with pushing triangle on controller.

I don't really want to relearn gaming on a mouse and keyboard as I did back in my Counter-Strike days, but these two things alone make me feel horribly disadvantaged more than I even realized.

That's interesting. I made the transition to PC this year and I've always found that both movement and switching weapons were more annoying on keyboard. I never had issues with tac sprint on controller. Aiming is way easier on PC, though.

I would argue that close combat is much better on controller and long distance is better on M&K.

Turning is much faster on m&k but I give controller the overall edge on movement. Especially with 'claw' style controller grip.

There is a reason most pros play controller on PC.

Scroll wheel weapon change is the best. I can't do it any other way.

Most pros that you see using controller are retired console players from the cod league. There will always be a higher skill gap on PC.

I have one of these paired up with a mouse... this way I dont have to choose between the comfort of a controller versus the precision of a mouse.

Anyone else getting bored? I've basically accomplished all the ribbon missions for season 4.... pretty much all my guns are leveled up... for week 1 I did all the ghost missions, but when the 2nd round of missions came up, they won't work. I go to the pool house and try to start objective 1 and it won't even let me, so that's gotten frustrating. I've noticed new stuff around the map that wasn't there during season 3. Train tunnels, underground train tracks and tracks that completely go around the map. There is places in farmland that need codes to open doors... seems like cool stuff to come... and now that season 4 started I NEVER seen key cards anymore. Can anyone explain how the most wanted target works? I've done it many times, but once accomplished, never get the full team receive it promises, like what's the point? I guess that's my rant, going dark...

Most wanted revives your entire time.

If you kill the most wanted person, you get a lot of money. If you survive as the most wanted, like the post above states, you get your entire team back (plus money).
AMW2010
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I've survived and my team was dead, and were all like wtf... do we have to do something to get y'all back?... on the flip side the last most wanted person I killed only banked me $1,000... wasn't really worth it, luckily they were just running from me the whole time.

If our squad is down to one player, we immediately seek out the Most Wanted contract.

Are you sure you started a "most wanted" and not a "contract"? I know it seems like a dumb question but the description your giving more accurately describes a contract. How do you know "they were running from you"? If there was a warning indicator changing from yellow to orange to red, that is a contract. If you survive, you get around $1k depending on how many contracts you have already completed.

When you start a "most wanted", you get no indication of opponents positions. In contrast everyone knows where you are as indicated by a red crown on the map. If you survive, all you teammates that are still spectating come back for free and you get $5-8k depending on bonus from completed contracts.

We pulled it off several time yesterday... because I keep missing shots and dying. One of the times, I didn't realize the helicopter was parked on top of one. When I push "square" to enter the helicopter, it started the contract!?!

New high powered scope without a glint as well as a .50 semi-auto sniper.

Another 22-36 GB update... this is ****ing ridiculous

A high powered scope without glint? That seems a bit unbalanced.

Edit: from the description it sounds to me like a binocular instead of a scope on a gun. Anybody else get that impression?

Pretty sure the high powered scope is a tactical device, the spotter scope. It isn't scope for a sniper rifle.

There is a new sniper rifle, but the scope and rifle are separate tools

Wonder if people using ghost will be resistant to spotting similar to the personal drone.
