Nope this is separate even though there's characters from the previous MWs in this campaign. I'd disagree though about MW3 sucking as it was the last modern warfare put out back in 2010, unless you're just talking about when it went futuristic.
I hope they remake some of the original maps
I'm actually super pumped about this one. Cross-platform multiplayer, new graphics and audio engines, no season pass means everyone gets new maps which means multiplayer base won't become fragmented based on map packs, xp system is shared between mp and campaign, and story and cinematics seem much more Cod 4 and less Michael Bay.

I've watched a few videos on the game - gunsmith looks like too much work for the casual gamer like me and I'm still not crazy about the killstreaks, but looks like fun. I'm planning to pick it up.
What's the issue with killstreaks?
Score streak system was better imo.
Cross-platform? Nice. PC players will prove their advantage in FPS games.

I'm a campaign mode junkie also. I never cared that much for the nonsense objectives in most multi-player maps.
Introduced by black ops 2, but it's been a thing ever since. It's better than killstreaks imo.
Yeah I guess I'm on the other side and really like kill streaks. Either way I'm stoked for this one
Looks like a really great game. I just hope the beta convinced them to add the mini map back because that's a really bad change imo.

I quit playing this franchise right after Activision did away with dedicated servers. Hackers run wild and I cant stand em. Why I quit BF1, and V. Stupid ass EA with all the bs hackers running wild and no dedicated servers or admins to ban their asses. Not a fun time for anyone if you ask me.

2. COD has had dedicated servers since COD Ghosts. They never switched back to non dedicated servers after going to dedicated servers.

I dont have a console, never will. PC is problematic with hackers.And Activision has had dedicated servers. So you're telling me that Activision is allowing dedicatd PC servers and not just ported console lobby playing bs on someone else's system has been done away with. A real physical in another location run by someone else who has control over it type of server. Just like CoD 4 had for PC. Is that what you're telling me, cause I havent played CoD since the original Black Ops came out. Thats when I signed off with Activision and Treyarch both.
