According to Lance Zeirleins projection of 2021 comp picks, we will have 4 comp picks.

Here's all of our projected picks in 2021:

1st
2nd
3rd
*3rd
4th
*4th
*5th
6th
*6th
7th

Be on the lookout for a potential trade, either before the season starts or right at the trade deadline.

Jamal Adams. Do it Jerry! This is a super bowl contending team with that acquisition.

Just wait till the trade deadline & the Jets are eliminated from the playoffs. A 1st & one of our CB's might do it!

Sounds like Chido might be moving to safety, Jaylon to OLB and LVE to inside.

Jerry already wants CeeDee wearing 88, SIAP

Nobody is concerned that Jaylon still isn't up to speed and LVE is returning from neck injury / surgery?

Anyone think Andy Dalton would make a good backup if we could get him for the right price?

I am, but the fact that we didn't draft a LB should be telling of how we feel about LVEs neck. I hope the front office is right about that.

Not a fan of Lamb wearing 88 personally. Loved it for Dez... I think it was good for him. Lamb feels like a guy that can create his own legacy and impact the game in his own way. Just don't think it was necessary in this case.

Wasn't Michael Irvin #88 as well? Maybe he's saying that Lamb will be the next great Cowboy's WR.

Lotsa pressure on the kid though.

Even Irvin wasn't the OG at 88

I visited training camp back in 91 as a kid. This we pre-super bowls so the crowds were somewhat minimal and getting autographs wasn't that difficult. Got Jimmy Johnson's, Bill Bates (was my hero as a kid), Nate, Moose and some others.

Then this random middle age guy in street clothes walks by and all these teenage kids start yelling "Mr. Pearson, Mr. Pearson please sign". So he did and I jumped in on the autograph action. I had no idea who "Mr. Pearson" was at that moment, but I started researching after that and found out pretty quickly I had the autograph of a Cowboys legend!

I think it's a cool tradition. Pearson, Irvin, Bryant... Lamb.

My first thought was that is a lot of pressure but also could be a tricky message to the WRs already here especially Cooper and his $100m contract. On the other hand, I don't think the NFL likes to WRs wearing #2. So lets just do it.

He can't wear 2. He was going to be 10

I'm guessing Cooper will take his $60Mm guaranteed and not lose too much sleep over Lamb getting chosen to wear 88

It's definitely the off season amongst a no sport zone.

The number Lamb wears will have 0 effect on what he does as a player and his overall career. Geez.

I think Dallas likes to give 88 to all WR they draft in the 1st round. 88 is way better than 10.

Official offseason no sports pointless ranking

Cowboys #88
1) Michael Irvin- HOF and ROH. Enough said
2) Drew Pearson- should be HOF but ROH
3) Dez Bryant- the best Bryant
4) Antonio Bryant- the not best Bryant
5) Ron Sellers- one year nobody WR
6) Jackie Harris- a one year nobody TE
7) Colin Ridgway- a one year nobody freakin kicker

Lamb better end up at least 4th on this list

Ridgway was a nobody kicker until his wife hired a hitman and had him murdered. Still technically unsolved but everyone seems to know what happened

If he doesn't, it will obviously be because he couldn't handle the "pressure" of the number.

That was my 1st training camp too. I called St. Ed's and asked for the name of the hotel closest to where the Cowboys practiced. I should've known what to expect when I was able to reserve a room for $20 a night. The South Congress Motor Inn or something like that... High mileage hookers all over the place. The AC barely worked and the carpets in my room were soaking wet.

The practices were awesome. Iirc, they had a few metal bleachers but they also had these raised areas with railroad tie retaining walls so you could stand close to the field but see over the trainers and gear on the sidelines.

I got Erik Williams autograph because I was the only one in the group that knew his name. That Dallas Cowboys Weekly subscription really paid for itself. Russell Maryland... Dixon Edwards... Caught Leon Lett's wristband.

I even met Skip Bayless... He was prancing around in a pair of tiny Richard Simmons style running shorts. I told him I listened to his radio show and he gave me a big awkward hug. Good times.

Yeah, hearing CD did not want to be 88; would rather form his own legacy and wanted #10.

Just Jerry being Jerry. After an excellent draft he's starving for more attention.

That's digging deep for reason to criticize Jerry.

No. This is Jerry and it's obvious. No need to dig deep.

Does Jerry really have a great history with 88's?

One sued him and trademarked the Ring of Honor.

One got cut after throwing a practice Jersey in the face of his HoF head coach.

One was snorting, fornicating, stabbing teammates, and had a shortened career due to injury.

One was such a pain in the ass they decided it would be better to move on with a 5'6" white guy as the top WR.
