When the truth comes out, do not ask me how I knew.
Ask yourself why you did not.
Ask yourself why you did not.

I believe they are. Theyre license plate readers, these are mobile. Or maybe the ALCU has the wrong picture in their article.

I just checked out the camera locations in my town. Very odd placement and not where I would place them if I were LEO or government official. How are the locations determined?

You have a cell phone on you at all times, even if you get rid of flock cameras it will be easy to know everything about you.

My cell phone, which i VOLUNTARILY, own and carry does not film me and my vehicle. I can leave it at home whenever I choose.

You aren't going to leave it at home, you have to have a phone to function in society these days.
I'm not saying Flock cameras are good, I'm just saying that the surveillance goes much broader than Flock cameras.

Red light cameras already got destroyed legally. Same standards should be applied to this nonsense.

Where are the liberals on this?
The carbon footprint of providing electricity to and retention of the collected data must be equal to eleventy trillion cows farting non stop even on the Sabbath.
Where is the outrage?

That picture is a license plate reader. It's not flock. Cops have been using those for some time. They're just plate scanners. Plus the cops have to actively drive around with those. Flock tracks vehicles and individuals movements as they go about their day to day.

what do you think all these "data centers" are for?
we are becoming a surveillance state. they will have profiles on your movement, spending habits, social group, your ideals...there will be no secrets.
the "nothing to hide folks" should consider what you would be willing to hide if our country became a mix of London demographics and the UK's laws against free speech. and add the chinese social credit score.
would you have something to hide in these circumstances?
That's been my argument about what 5G was for. With good service, 4G would allow instantaneous downloads, streaming movies, etc. So why did we go to 5G? Faster service? Nope. More bandwidth. So more data can be transfered and processed.
By citizens? Sure we use more data. But I think it was so companies and the government can get more of our data.

JFC, I live out in the county and there is one ~200 yards from my house. I assume the neighborhood next to us put that in on purpose for their own HOA use?? It's at the start of the street that goes into their neighborhood.

Ironically, if there is anyone who does want those things right now, it is those participating in Trump's deportation drive, which has come closer to "normalizing lawlessness" than anything we have seen in this nation in a long time.

Yes. Flock salesperson sold the HOA on security to monitor who comes in and out of the hood.
Read somewhere... maybe here. Someone saying their HOA was charged less than the cost of the camera for the install. Implication was they're selling the data that collect.
NOT just taping license plates

Without stating an opinion on Flock cameras. How many on this thread against them have a Ring doorbell, or similar, or surveillance cameras on their house that see parts of a neighbor's yard or into the street?
BTW, for the folks saying that they won't go into a neighborhood with Flock cameras, every entrance to Home Depot and Lowes parking lots have a Flock camera. You might want to try True Value.

You do see the difference in a Flock camera and a Ring doorbell on a house or a private security camera at a home?
