A perfect example is when Friday reclassified possession of any non-Delta 9 variant of THC as a felony. Those of you not familiar with computers, most companies have an API for customers to use. It's used so that I can get information or perform actions with a web service via programming (like Python). Nice thing about programming is I set it and forget it. Now I Just track plates going over the border, then have it ping any plate that is caught at a camera near a dispensary over the border. Now generate an alert when it comes back. Figure out a pretext for stop and search, and bingo, caught someone who could be white collar with a spotless record and turned them into a felon for life.

What I get caught up on is that they are on public easements. Shouldn't the public get to approve or deny the access to public easements?

Also if they're on public easements, shouldn't the entire general public have access to the flock data base? Not just law enforcement?

That's the problem(s).

There's minimal citizen input, no oversight and access is limited to LEO without warrant level clearance.

I don't understand how anyone can just be like I don't do anything wrong, so I have nothing to worry about. Within 6 months we have the state being overrun with compute hardware and cameras that make surveillance incredibly powerful. Querying in plain English to identify and predict movement, buying, and all other behaviors. And it's not a coincidence that local leaders aren't consulting their constituents. It's clear they are benefiting or being influenced by higher government that is benefitting. I don't even want to think what this looks like 6 years from now, versus just the last 6 months with additional advances in AI. My worry is these cameras eventually get into AI drones, and then woof.

Basic privacy, maybe not. Privacy to not have a government run system patterning your movements and habits, absolutely.

The fact that the system even gave officers the ability to stalk women, should tell you all you need to know.

It's not about total privacy. It's about the access into your privacy and the skillset it takes to manipulate. Surveillance is actively being democratized amongst lower level local law enforcement and a handful of private sector companies.

Not to sound crazy but eventually?

That's another whole problem. It's a precedent that is being set.

If you dont mind tens of thousands of fixed private, with government access, surveillance cameras overseeing your actions, then what protest do you have of drones tracking you and scanning everything? You don't own the air and it is a serious crime to take down drones over your property
