Lost a friend of 22+ years overnight because she shared some post about the Mexican President sending some rescue resources to assist and how she was showing such great kindness and empathy despite how Trump and TX treat Mexicans and how Trump and TX would never do the same for Mexico…..
I just responded that the post was BS, and politicizing this was bad form. After 22+ years I have apparently been blocked out of her life.
Trump offers U.S. assistance to Mexico after earthquake
Sad world we're living in now, isn't it? You can thank both the mainstream and social media for this. People see something and assume it to be true without doing any sort of research. This is why the propaganda that the media puts out there is extremely dangerous. The fact that all of this information is right at people's fingertips has cause people to become even lazier and just believe something to be true. If something like this would've happened in the 90s or early 2000s, we'd simply have people coming together and supporting each other. Now it's just politicizing it and playing the blame game.
Honestly it's creating somewhat of a Civil War in our country right now. The media is pushing us further and further apart to where some people won't even associate with you or listen to anything that you have to say when they find out who you voted for. And sadly I think we all know which side is the culprit of this 9 out of 10 times.
