I speak to you as a mother, a neighbor, a pediatrician, and a human being who is deeply sorry. I take full responsibility for a social media comment I made before we knew that so many precious lives were lost to the terrible tragedy in Central Texas. I understand my comment caused immense pain to those suffering indescribable grief and for that I am truly sorry. I would like to make clear that my regrettable comment was in no way a response to the tragic loss of human life. But the words written were mine and regardless of how they are being presented, that is a fact that I deeply regret. I want to apologize to each and every individual suffering through terrible loss in this difficult time. As news of heartbreaking fatalities became clear I immediately removed my thoughtless comment, as it does not reflect the depth of my compassion or the respect I have for each and every human life. Unfortunately, my online comment is now being shared with the false impression that I made it after the devastating loss of life was known. I did not. But again, the comment was mine and mine alone. Even in these divisive times, some things are and should remain sacred. Human life is sacred. The well-being of children is sacred. Politics and party affiliation should never affect the judgment or actions of any medical provider and have never affected mine. Anyone who has sat in my office, cried on my shoulder in moments of loss, afforded me the privilege of helping their child grow, or trusted me with their child's life knows that I am tirelessly committed to children's medical care and would never be so callous as to make such a remark about lives cut so terribly short. I did not choose my words with the sensitivity the moment required, or with any awareness of the heartbreaking loss that would later become clear to all of us. My comment came from a place of frustration born of my belief that our communities, first responders, healthcare system, early-warning systems and disaster infrastructure need more and better support and funding to help prevent and respond to tragedies such as this. But my poor choice of words has been perceived as a response to this tragedy, and for that I am deeply sorry. I respectfully ask that no responsibility or harassment be directed toward my former employer. They are kind, hard-working, dedicated pediatricians who had no role in this whatsoever. Perhaps my biggest regret is that my words are now serving as a distraction from our shared responsibility to heal the pain and suffering of those whose lives have been forever changed by unspeakable loss, and to take every step to ensure such a disaster never occurs again. One thing on which we can all agree: The heart of every Texan breaks for each and every family shattered by this tragedy. I pray that those who are suffering find peace and comfort in the difficult days ahead and commit myself to helping the entire community heal and recover. Moving forward, I will do my very best to listen, learn, grow and serve my community as I have always done. Because that is really who I am. With deep regret, Christina Propst, MD July 8, 2025

This pathetic sub-human still tries to dodge accountability with this weasel worded statement. You see, it's your fault for how you perceived or presented her words that said Trump voters deserved the disaster.

When you produce a wall of text to apologize, you aren't sincere and just trying to deflect. A simple "I messed up and posted a horrible message and am deeply sorry. I deserve the consequences for my actions" would have been more sincere.

You're being kind. She can't run back what she texted/tweeted.

Even if you give her benefit of the doubt she didn't know any loss of life or what the whole situation was at the time. She's still celebrating red voting citizens of Kerr county property loss, flooding, and all the awful things that essentially come with a hurricane etc.

No way to backtrack that. So no. Screw her.
Her only regret is the enormous backlash she received. In her mind, she was going to get a 1000 plus likes and the total opposite happened. She has already shown her true colors; she can't wash them off.

I was heartened to know that Austin's chief Didn't Earn It is capable of self-reflection and can learn from mistakes. Sarcasm off. A really heartbreaking and infuriating 3 minute video. This guy is CANCER, but he has the right skin color.

That Chief's name wouldn't be Lightfoot by any chance, would it?

After Sandy Hook, Alex Jones was sued successfully by parents of kids who died there. This guy should tread softly.

Lots of people are swallowing the talking point that Kerr county denying ARPA grants for sirens from Biden led to this.

Anyone that thinks sirens would have prevented this is living in fantasy land. A siren doesn't tell you a 40 foot wall of water is coming.
I am not blaming sirens or saying any of this flood was truly stoppable...

But i am in NB and Sequin all the time. I pay attention when that siren goes off...even during the weekly tests.

I do the same thing when I'm there. And when we have the monthly tornado siren test and I happen to be home, I always look out the window and then go turn on the weather channel or look at weather app on my phone. I do believe that a siren might have saved some lives. Not all, but some. It certainly couldn't have hurt to have one. I'm not an expert though, just someone who has spent a lot of time in Ingram.

It would be absolutely insane to not look and see what could have been done or what was not done to save these lives. We are talking about possibly 300 people gone and to not be curious at the very least on ways to keep this from happening again is out of touch with reality.

If there is blame to go around, then so be it.

The media is now all in on blaming FEMA (and of course this means Trump) for not being on site fast enough.

Also, almost every single Texas elected official they interview (other than ones local to the areas where the flood happened) has a (D) by his or her name.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Look at his posting history since showing up in F16.

All of it is about blaming Trump/Republicans for the flood/deaths.

What do Trump's words have to do with people in Texas not moving cabins in 1987?

Do a little critical thinking, what agency mandates setting that flood zone. Who is quoted as eliminating that agency
