As Rush himself said many times, "Words mean things." If Rush was an Ag, I would stand up and answer "Here" for him at Muster without any hesitation. Having said that, do what you think is appropriate to demonstrate your respect and sorrow at his passing. He certainly has earned that.

RIP, Rush. We will miss you more than just words can say.

I am finishing up book two of Rush Revere with my 8 year old son. Just ordered the remaining three today. I will read all of these with my son, and when my daughter is old enough, we will all read them again together. My heart is truly broken today.

Some of my happiest memories were riding around with my dad in his van while he listened to Rush.

I personally found his rhetoric abhorrent and damaging to American democracy but I can see why y'all would be devastated. Thoughts/prayers.

The wife of one of my Air Guard buddies told me, "there's a guy you need to listen to on the radio". This was 1989 right after Dan Patrick, now our Lt Gov, brought Rush to his low power KSEV radio station in Houston. I have listened ever since. Truly feel like I've lost a long time friend.

I like that he seemed genuinely interested in people and he didn't take himself or politics so seriously as to not have a sense of humor about things and enjoy the lighter side of life.
