God bless Rush Limbaugh.
I have been listening since '89. He was very influential in helping me understand politics and want it means to be a true conservative. He, my parents, my education, and my church helped me develop the views that I have.
I will be forever grateful for the man and his leadership over the past 30 years.

I thought no one could replace Paul Harvey. Then there was Rush. Someone will take his place. Hard to imagine, but it will likely happen.

My only comfort is that all the way to the end he sounded like he was having fun on the radio.

Known for a while that his show wouldn't be on forever but that doesn't make it any easier. I still remember vividly the first time I heard his show.

I read a couple of his books when I was younger and listened off and on over the past couple of decades. More so in the last couple of years. I didn't agree with him often, but he did (usually) have a level of civility that other conservative talk shows do not. He also made some rational points that I did agree with. Most importantly his long career sparked a revolution that has kept the conversation from being one-sided--open and free debate is one of the things that does make America great.
