Rumor is, for some reason, we're getting a 30-second preview of the teaser trailer (which sounds like it's not even two minutes) at 6 AM PST/8 AM CST today...
Seems like they had some small bit of promotion for every day from Monday through Thursday.
The next logical step of film marketing is giving you 10% of the poster each day

The trend of turning classic villains into heroes is ridiculous. In another 15 years, Freddy Krueger will be a guy who was trying to rescue children from abusive households.

One of my biggest gripes about Man of Steel was that Superman wasn't Earth's first alien encounter. Superman should be saving cats from trees, putting out fires and helping apprehend minor criminals before taking on supervillians. Looks like this is the case with Gunn's
This should be Earth's first Superman encounter
I felt the same way about Batman Begins which is more the approach they took in The Batman, have Bats start out dealing justice to the Gotham underworld and corrupt city government a la Year One.

My way-to-early first impression... not a huge fan of the look so far.
Very saturated, very TV, with boring, small-screen framing.
As I saw someone say earlier today, "This fall on CBS!"
It's just kind of flat and digital-looking, when Superman should obviously have an epic, cinematic feel.
That said, this is mainly just crowd/extra shots, so I'll reserve full judgment for the trailer itself tomorrow...

I've got mad respect for this Superman. He is taking his time putting his boots on with the aliens outside because he just nailed Lois Lane.
And looks like Fillion is playing an older somewhat disgruntled GL.
And I want a spinoff series on the guy with the balls to chunk a tin can at Superman's head in broad daylight.

And looks like Fillion is playing an older somewhat disgruntled GL.
And I want a spinoff series on the guy with the balls to chunk a tin can at Superman's head in broad daylight.

I like the nod to the classic look but I'll echo TCTTS in saying that it has a bit of a CW look to it at times, more than it does a cinematic/epic look.
Also hopefully they clean up the CG a little on that big monster in downtown, that looked a bit corny.

Overall though it shows promise. I know, if nothing else, Gunn puts everything he has into his movies and truly wants this to be great. Succeed or fail it will be a heartfelt attempt and I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

I'm curious to see Fillion as Guy Gardner. GG was my least favorite of the Lanterns.

Yeah but it gave us Krypto for that scene and for that alone it's worth it. Superman with a dog is awesome.

im super uneducated on everything superman....pretty much all i know is his character.....lex luthor is a regular guy whos an evil mastermind.....and the 3 stooges from superman II with christopher reeve.....that's it......
