Has anyone been watching the SNL 50 concert special on Peacock tonight? A lot of pretty good performances from all over the music spectrum, along with some classic SNL music bits. A few of them will probably go viral online over the weekend.

Will have to watch when I get home next week.

But this trailer was outside my hotel and the sign on it was placed this morning. I was in New York across from Radio City.

Some great performances last night (Post Malone/Nirvana, Jack White, Lady Gaga, Cher, Snoop, and several others). The celebrity crowds lack of enthusiasm and forced reactions was annoying. Would have rather they stopped showing the cringey crowd shots. Miley Cyrus even called them out right off the bat. No way Kidd Rock would have made it through his set with that audience ;-)

Backstreet Boys have totally lost it at this point. Would have been better off lip-syncing than forcing us to listen to that mess.

I watched about half so far. Agreed on the crowd shots, except Meryl Streep flipping the bird. That was kinda funny. Just seemed awkward to see Jon Hamm trying to rock out to everyone. I did like spotting the old cast members.

I know nothing about the Backstreet Boys other than recognizing some of their hits and I immediately thought they sounded really bad.

I believe they are supposed to live stream the show tonight on the SNL YouTube channel? I may have to watch it that way. The wind is really blowing tonight, and the tree movement seems to be interfering with my antenna reception.
