You misspelled "Tony Hinchcliffe".

No love for John Mulaney in the pre-election spot? Him and Chappell Roan is a pretty big show.

Nikki appeared on Thursday Night Football's post game show last night to do her version of football commentary/roasting.Brian Earl Spilner said:

For anyone who may not have seen it, here's the full segment: Late Hits with Nikki Glaser.

That would be really neat. I went to see Tom Petty (RIP) and the Heartbreakers at The Woodlands in 2007 and she strolled out for "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and then stayed for a few more tunes. Fantastic that she's still performing.TXAG 05 said:The Porkchop Express said:

Thought that was pretty interesting. Being the the 50th season, would be cool if they bring in a lot of big "classic" names like that.
The year she won the Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Comedy.Quote:
Jean Smart hosting? What year is this?

Yikes. Good thing she hasn't let herself get pigeon holed or anything.

Lackluster season opener imo.
Oh Nate is on next week? I'll watch that just in case it ends up being funny somehow!TXAG 05 said:
I'm with y'all. Weekend Update was decent, but that was about it. Probably one of the least memorable presidential skits ever, even with Dana Carvey and all the other big names they brought in for it.
Jean Smart was kind of a lackluster choice for a host. Thanks to this thread I am aware she just won an Emmy, but the only thing I can remember her from is Designing Women. Hopefully next week with Bergatze will be better.
There have been far worse episodes of SNL, but there wasn't really a standout skit in my opinion. It wasn't a bad episode, just forgettable.FtWorthHorn said:
I mean it wasn't all great (never is), but if you didn't enjoy Bowen Yang's Moo Deng yelling for the hose, I don't know what to tell you.

Anyone know when the 50th anniversary show is supposed to be? I thought it was last weekend and was pissed that I missed it.
Still managed to compare Trump to Hitler in WE Update translation bit.Kraft Punk said:

It seems to me that back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, the cast were the main stars of every skit, and the guest host was usually just a minor character. Now, it seems like they try to make the host the star of every skit. I think that makes for a very up and down show. You have some hosts who are great, and lead to great shows, but when the host is bad, the show is bad.Stat Monitor Repairman said:
Looks like they got a real talent problem at this show now.
Maybe the weakest cast in the history of the show.
Also amazing that they fired Shane Gillis
What a turn of events.
