So, Each room Gemma enters is as a different innie, right? So they've figured out how to create more or less endless innies in one person.

Yes. In the dentist room she said "I was just here" and in the Christmas room she said "it's always Christmas". Pretty sad really, because those innies only know ****ty situations

The files they're doing in MDR relate to these rooms somehow. Cold Harbor, obviously, but I also noticed Siena on one room and remembered that as the name of a file

One of my biggest questions now is how she ended up there

Holy crap.

The most emotional, Lost-ian, Westworld-ish episode yet, in all the best ways.

Turns out Ms. Casey isn't a clone after all. Gemma never died and they're actually keeping her alive for some sick, unknown, ****ed-up-guinea-pig reason.

Lumon just went from me disliking them in a cutesy/funny/creepy way to wanting to see the entire company burn to the ground and every last non-severed employee lit on fire in the process.

Good Lord, what a show.

This episode was all killer no filler. Damn that was incredible TV.

Some questions answered, many more raised. Another finale level reveal mid-season. What could be coming next?

Looks like MDR has some similar looking counterparts. Clones?

Subjecting innie Gemma to stressful situations for study. But why?

Mark not completing Cold Harbor the only thing keeping her alive?

That doctor deserved a chair to the head by lying to Gemma with malice.

Anyone else notice the doctor in the IVF clinic looked similar to the doctor on Gemma's floor? I assume it's a Lumon owned clinic, just like everything else in the town of Kier.

This is the best TV show I've seen in years.

It was 100% him. I clocked him immediately, then his suspicious, blink-and-you-missed side eye toward her all but confirmed it.

Maybe there was something about her that they identified as valuable in the clinic, and then faked the car crash to kidnap her?
TCTTS

The way the Lumon doctor/dentist looked at her as she and Mark entered the waiting room tells me they had already IDed her in some form or fashion, and were expecting her. But yeah, generally speaking, at some point, in some way, they recognized her value and then faked the car crash to kidnap her. That would be my guess as well.

Gemma lost a child and pursued Severed program to cope, or somehow got involved after that loss

She was in a guinea pig proof of concept program

It spiraled out of control

She tried to escape but they stopped it and used car wreck to further ensnare her

Not sure what the refiners refining the Gemma/Mark experience are doing relative to the refining of Mark's team

A little bit of a nested egg mystery here but it's well done

The YouTube recap/breakdowns for this episode are going to be amazing.

Called it when the doctor walked in.

Then my wife called the clinic being a setup of sorts for Lumon to get them as test subjects for something. Those cards she "got on the mailing list for" have been on the severed floor in prior episodes.

I forgot about the cards. Good call.

But yeah, that's exactly what the clinic is, IMO - a setup/honeypot of sorts to test and then ensnare whoever meets their criteria for whatever the hell they're doing.

Great, great episode. Robbie Benson as the Lumon doctor took me back.

My dislike of Lumon couldn't get any higher.

It's probably me reading too much into things, but what was with that shot of Mark when the police show up to tell him about Gemma. He backed out of the light so that only half his face was showing. Having half the face be light, half dark is almost universally a sign of someone who is battling good vs evil.

When Mark and Gemma meet at the blood draw, the machine they are hooked up to is a Lumon machine. They were tracking them even before the fertility clinic.

I truly love this show, but "emotionally devastated?"

Honestly? That actually was somewhat emotionally devastating. Relatively speaking, of course.

Yes! Good call. I totally forgot about the opening blood drive.

I noticed the machine too, but remember their stuff is everywhere in the "real world" throughout. Seems like many small tech things I've noticed have been Lumon branded.

Have they ever said how long Mark and Gemma were together before the accident? When they meet at the college, it seems like a bustling place. There are students all over. However, in season 1 when Mark first meets creepy doctor lady at the college, it almost looks closed down. They are both fairly young, so it can't have been that long. It just seemed strange to me that the college would essentially turn into a ghost town.

Post show credits mentioned 5 years

And here soon in the US we might see a lot of abandoned colleges. Been reading up on that phenomenon

And the watchers were actively "refining" of some sort as well.

Definitely the biggest Lost moment for me (save for the flashback itself). Felt like something straight out of the Dharma Initiative.

What a hauntingly beautiful and tragic episode. Gemma and Mark being so close yet so far but still looking for each other is so sad.

In the words of Irving: Let's burn this place to the ground.

But who's to say an evil corporation like Lumon isn't using everything for nefarious purposes?

My theory is memory collection, storage, and transference. Kier could be brought "back to life" in multiple "vessels" if the technology is 100% safe and effective. This would explain the goats; they could be test subjects too. Also, what is "The You You Are" if not a collection of memories?

Pretty incredible. Like how we've had two drastically non-severance-esque episodes this season. Jessica Gange director really nailed this episode. Just saw yalls posts about this being her debut. Kudos to her.

Lumon is somehow able to severance someone multiple times over. Wonder if they are trying to stretch the efficacy of multi severanci. (Plural of severance). Wonder if the MDR quarters have to do with these various rooms. Named after various international cities, right? And a full audit team that looks just like MDR in a pretty dope gaming room. And Drummond has to **** all over Dr. Mauer's (?) sweater. Stuck at 96%.

Almost completely forgot about Kobel at this point. She's still out there vibin and driving in her car right? Noticed that Milkshake was in his leather jacket when he stopped Casey. We didn't get Helly feet this episode
