Your point isn't being "skipped over." I've personally addressed it, specifically, multiple times now.

"Both Innie Mark and Outie Mark can't be having flashback memories at the exact same time, unless there is some sort of consciousness/time thing going on."

Once again, just because they're being shown to us at the same time doesn't mean they're happening at the same time.

I just rewatched the scene again and it's clear as day to me that Outtie Mark that night is simply flashing back to earlier that day at Lumon. Outtie Mark even says, over and over, "I remember... I remember a desk..." as if referencing the memory of Miss Huang taking his blood pressure. While Miss Huang, in the past/earlier that day, is simply reacting to Innie Mark having a different break/flash/hallucination. Yes, she's seemingly "reacting" to Outtie Mark popping back in time from the future, but again, it's just inventive editing meant to put you in Mark's disoriented headspace, where his worlds and memories are starting to collide. Something that makes WAY more sense than this show suddenly starting to dabble in time travel.

I'll eat crow if I'm wrong, but I legitimately think you're taking the fancy editing way too literal.

I certainly could be wrong. I'm just making a hypothesis. However, if it's just the way they edited it, I'll be disappointed. So far, I feel like the show has been very deliberate in everything they've shown us story wise. I don't think they've put stuff out there just to look cool. I certainly could be, and am likely wrong.

I shouldn't have said they're doing it to look "cool." I just meant that I believe they're prioritizing the audience feeling Mark's disorientation over everything else. Not "style over substance" but rather treating "disorientation" as king, as way for us to fully connect with what Mark is experiencing. It's supposed to feel weird and confusing and psychedelic and like, maybe to him, it does even feel like time traveling. But that's all it is - a feeling, not meant to be taken literal.

I think they're showing it that way not just because it looks cool or because it's for the audience. I also don't think there's some weird time thing happening. I think they're showing us what Mark is experiencing. It doesn't feel like a memory to him. He feels like his realities are colliding. Of course, like others have said, since that's how I took it, I thought it was obvious. Obviously not!

Basically I think we're saying the same thing on this one. No time traveling at play, but giving the audience a glimpse of what Mark is feeling.

Thursday night can't get here fast enough. It's been a while since I've looked forward to new episodes this much for a series.

Are you the one that is out of country? I can't watch this until tomorrow.

How could anyone possibly know this?

Because, for years, every single episode of every single Apple show has dropped at 8 central the night before its respective release date, thus becoming common knowledge. That, and this has been mentioned multiple times in this thread alone over the past few weeks/months.

Haven't you been reading the last two pages of this thread? Time travel.

All I know is that if they have so much as a flashback to when Gemma was alive at some point this season, I'm claiming a victory on time travel.

This episode was all killer no filler. Damn that was incredible TV.

Some questions answered, many more raised. Another finale level reveal mid-season. What could be coming next?

Looks like MDR has some similar looking counterparts. Clones?

Subjecting innie Gemma to stressful situations for study. But why?

Mark not completing Cold Harbor the only thing keeping her alive?

That doctor deserved a chair to the head by lying to Gemma with malice.

Anyone else notice the doctor in the IVF clinic looked similar to the doctor on Gemma's floor? I assume it's a Lumon owned clinic, just like everything else in the town of Kier.

This is the best TV show I've seen in years.

Absolutely. It created the emotional attachment for us that's been there for Mark all along. And sets up yet another innie vs outtie relationship battle.

So, Each room Gemma enters is as a different innie, right? So they've figured out how to create more or less endless innies in one person.

It's possible. You could tell she hated when certain outfits came out because it resulted in pain afterward. Learned psychological response.
schmendeler

She said in the dentist room that she had "just" been there but she's clearly entering multiple rooms a day. The same innie would remember all of that and the fact that it's the same dude in there with her in every room.
