This was my first thought as well. If they have the technology to "sever" someone, why wouldn't they have the technology to somehow link them all together neurally and do some sort of "projection" in their minds to somewhere else?

Look at the pictures Petey drew...This was my thought as he shows a "team building" room/area at headquarters. I do not think they are in a forest but more a simulation

Yep; more weirdness that makes little sense if they are in the wild:

-Tube TV on an AV cart on top of a cliff with no apparent power source or cord running Milchick's video (why wasn't he there in person to greet them)

-Dead seal in the mountains?

-Irv sleeps in frigid temps unprotected and uncovered all night, lost in the woods? No hypothermia? No search party?

-Skeptical Outies would agree to be driven out to a barren national forest (abandoned on a cliff top or the middle of an icy lake) to transition to innie life for 2 days?


I think Helena was hoping to seduce Mark with imagined/fake VR sex to distract him from the Gemma search; like Irv's hall pass and Dylan's family room perk distractions….

I think it would have gotten people questioning "wait who is Helena". Cause up to that point Mark is Mark. Dylan is Dylan. Irving is Irving. And Helly is Helena. Why would her name have a slight alteration?

It was such a common theory that people were questioning it because they felt it was too obvious.

I like it. Not everything has to be some multi layered deal that you never saw coming. I like that about this show.

also how the major plot turns aren't dragged out. You would have expected Mark reintegrating to be the last episode of the season or even next season. I loved how they went ahead and did it. Wont surprise me at all if Helly starts getting morning sickness next episode and all of a sudden we know shes pregnant. They are moving things along.

I watched the recap, and I am not sure if that was really confirmed -- it seemed more like he was playing Monday morning quarterback there. I was a bit confused while watching the episode last week, but I assumed everyone watching along pretty much was, too. In a weird way, we had opposite hidden knowledge of Mark S. in that episode-- like, Wait, he re-integrated? What is going on? Meanwhile, Mark S. has no idea, and then the shot of Ms. Casey was a WTF moment for him and an aha moment for us.

There was weird stuff going on with Petey, but he was also in the midst of dying, so I don't think it was clear what was going on in his mind.
