Another thing I'm really starting to wonder about is "the board." Part of me thinks they/it might not even be human, and instead could be aliens or A.I. or something, though I can't tell if that would be too "out there" for this show or not. I'm just so curious to see how they/it are depicted when Cobel finally meets with them in person, hopefully here in the next episode or two.
I figured Mark's wife was still alive (or something of the sorts) but didn't remotely expect it to be Casey.
Also, when Graner walked into the basement I immediately thought he was a double agent and working against Severance. That thought lasted about 2 seconds before he got his head bashed in, but that would have been an interesting twist too. I wonder if there is someone on the inside.

The actor who plays Milchick is absolutely nails. Dude goes from a smiling happy disposition to stone cold mother****er better than anyone I've seen in a long time. I've never seen him in anything else and his IMDB is rather thin (apparently he's in Godfather of Harlem but I don't get Epix) but he's perfect in this role.tk for tu juan said:TCTTS said:

I also really like the actor playing Dylan, who reminds me of so many engineers I've worked with in the past and really adds some depth and realism to the environment.
So bummed there are only two episodes left. I have a feeling there will be quite a cliffhanger to end this season.
ETA - LOVED when Cobel was demonstrating the latch technique and then slams the fake baby down after she's done. That killed me.

I started this show and really enjoyed the premier, but it got a little too depressing and gross (chip implant scenes - ugh!) for me to stick with it.
Now I just read the recaps to follow along and see how the mystery plays itself out / if I should jump back in at some point.

Helly's outie was so insistent that she stays, figured she is working with the lady that Mark met at the beginning of the episode. Still think Helly is somehow connected to Petey since the picture of June at his funeral looked so much like Helly.WelchAg said:

Hope we get some hints in the next episode about what their files/numbers actually do, similar to what was hinted at in the Lexington Letter.
There was an exchange early in the season where Milchick told Helly's outie that he respects what she's doing (or something along those lines), in a reverential way. So I got the impression that her outie is on Lumon's side, for whatever reason, though I could be wrong.

So what I don't understand is Casey also severed and if so why isn't her outie looking for Mark? She almost would have to be in on it otherwise and they would have to take very careful steps with her outside travel to ensure Mark or his sister and husband don't accidentally run into her in the outside world. This town doesn't seem very big so why take that risk?
I was wondering if there are more than the "typical" innie / outie version of a severed. What a tease of an episode!
This show has been a pleasant surprise for me. Every twist and turn feels completely earned and not just for the sake of plot. Also just realized Casey is from Altered Carbon.

The Watch guys at The Ringer podcast network interviewed Adam Scott a few weeks ago, then offhandedly mentioned in the podcast a week or so later that season two was set to start filming soon, so I took that as them having insider info from Scott himself (as one of the hosts is friends with Scott). But then yeah, Britt Lower, who plays Helly, just today on Twitter said they haven't yet heard if they're renewed or not. So who knows. I can't imagine Apple not renewing it, though. If anything, it's a name-brand cast/filmmaker, and is super buzz-worthy. That, and if Apple renewed the horrible Invasion for season two, they almost have to renew this.

Purely speculations, but with the shot of Helly R in cocktail attire at a party, she has to be at the Lumon HQ board meeting/party when Dylan snaps them out of it right? Maybe she's married to a board member and realizes her husband is doing this to her and freaks TF out?
They said something early on about how honored they were about Helly joining them. Made me think that she was at least somewhat well-known or famous.
