Him standing up drunk and then quickly sitting back down in his lawn chair is one of my favorite little moments in a movie full or great quotes and moments.

Executed perfectly. He deserved an Oscar for that.

And he comes from a legendary Hollywood family. His great grandfather is Harry Warner, i,e., one of the founding Warner Bros.

Yup. One of the funniest moments of all time. We've all been there and it summed it up perfectly.

Yep he was scrawny in that one compared to Rip but that was him (sans beard).

Are you wanting a Yellowstone edition or 50 Shades? I think the latter would sell better.

I agree with you on it selling better in different states than here.
LOL, didn't catch the typo, but I'll take one of each?
Does that version come with the "Big Ben's toolbox" option?

Just finished season 4. I've always had a love/hate relationship with this show. I think the end of season 2 was the high point of the series for me. However, this one was decent enough to keep me watching. Anyway, here are my thoughts. Spoilers abound.

I'll admit I've been wanting to see both Beth and Jamie go to the train station for some time, but over the edge. Sadly they both walked away.

I have always liked Jimmy the Meth Cowboy. His process of growing into a real cowboy has made me appreciate Jefferson White as an actor in way I didn't before, but I find myself no longer liking the Jimmy character as much. I guess they are going to make a 6666 Ranch spin-off of some sort, so we'll see how that goes.

At the end of last season, the woman with the flat tire was presumably shot dead. It wasn't clear what happened to her son, who was off searching for lost lug nuts. I figured he was going to become an adopted son for Beth and Rip, but they went a different route with Carter. I"m not that crazy about his character, but his age (when coming to the ranch) and background are much closer to Rip's. Probably makes for a better story line.

Cole Hauser is by far the best part of the show.

That price is not correct. Trust me. No news agency , website or reporter has any idea what the actual purchase.

No, he's saying the sale price - key words "actual purchase" - add to it, you'll never know who all the actual investors are involved in the purchases. These things are buried under multiple entities layered within each one.

I don't doubt that and I think most understand that real estate often sells for less than list (particularly when it's already been reduced 40%). But the post you disputed didn't say it sold for list price. It said it sold for under $200 million. I presume that is accurate.

The ranch went pending in early 2021 by Taylor and his group. I was told in September by a friend that worked there for a few years that Taylor had bought it and was allowing the ranch hands to stay. I believe he purchased all three divisions that make up the 6666. It probably just officially went through but this has been in the works for nearly a year.

It was not reduced 40%. The 6666 Ranch was originally listed at $341M for 266,000 acres. For whatever reason, it was decided to sell the three divisions (6666, Dixon Creek, Frisco Creek) all separately. Once they split them, the 142,000 main 666 ranch was listed for $192M. Dixon Creek was 114,000 acres and listed for $137M. Frisco Creek, the smallest, was 9000 acres for $12.2M.

All they did was split the listing into the 3 sections that make up the 6666.

Obtuse about what? My only point was that you implied that Charpie was naive for thinking that the 6666 sold for list when she didn't even say that.

I'm not positive but very likely. Like I said, this has been out there for a while. In fact I think I was told it was a pending back in Jan of 2021 only because I know a guy that inquired about the Frisco Creek and called Sam Middleton. It was priced pretty well based on location and the history the ranch carries at $1300/acre.

I said no such thing about Charpie. My comments were to you as you were arguing with AgAE about people knowing the actual sale price. You're the one who seems confused.

That is not accurate. There were three 6666 Ranch properties that sold. They all sold as a package and none sold for their list prices. None of the list prices for any of the 6666 Ranch properties were ever reduced, much less by 40%. I do not know where that came from. It amazes me how information is spread and stated as fact by people who have no clue what they are talking about. The same thing happened when the Waggoner Ranch sold.
