And I love that Jimmy chose the Aggie vet and that she can hold her own in a fight. Really like her character.
Don't pick a fight with a girl that went to Tarleton and A&M!
When was it said that she was an Ag? What am I missing?
She's a Texan and a Vet -> 2+2=4

She also said she went to vet school at A&M

Monica did not help Kacey's story this year. She has gone from your father is evil and we need to separate from him to we need the protection of the ranch to the ranch/your family is evil and we need our own place. I think it was this season (?) where Beth came to Monica's rescue at that department store. Sure Beth might be royally ****ed up in many ways, but family is always her priority. I was hoping for a little more bonding between the two but we never got it.

The show is all about gray characters, both her and Kacey aren't immune to that but you'd have a tough time knowing it by the way she treats the Duttons.

They're really setting up Kacey to be the bridge between the reservation and the rest of the state/community. I know they're doing that with him story wise as the live stock commissioner, but if he is going to be governor that seals it and will be the peak of his story imo.

Jamie's dad survives landing on an asteroid only to be shot by his son…

And you gotta give credit to the barrel racer who nursed Jimmy back to health.

Pretty much next season is wide open.

Oh, there was some good bonding - in fact, Beth told Monica to take Kacey away from the ranch as it would ruin him.

you don't remember much about Elizabeth Olsen's character in Wind River? Haven't watched this one in a while. Enjoyed it first time around, but haven't gotten back to a re-watch. From what I remember the rape scene was pretty intense, which makes it hard to want to pick up and watch again on a casual evening (for me at least).

The sassy waitress in HoHW was pretty good too, and held her own against the officers wanting the cash as evidence. Good point. Did enjoy her character for sure.

I thought the way Jimmy was handled in the episode last night and the moment with him and Lloyd was outstanding.
That's exactly what I wanted for Lloyd's character. I know some have said "cowboys aren't sentimental", but I disagree....and this was a great example of a rough, hardened, cowboy like Lloyd having a moment with someone he helped mentor like a son or grandson. Lloyd deserved that.

I also liked the arc with Jimmy and Rip, after how hard Rip was on Jimmy all that time - he truly cares for Jimmy and what he's become.

The Jimmy storyline alone made that finale worth it.

And I love that Jimmy chose the Aggie vet and that she can hold her own in a fight. Really like her character.

Thought I might have been the only one that yelled Prezbo! during the wedding.

That was a bit more tame of a finale than I was expecting, but after last season I'll take it. I thought maybe there were going to be cops at the drop with Beth when Jamie was about to ditch the body. I was expecting someone else might have died in this episode, possibly from the bunkhouse.

Agree with OP, now Jamie gets elected governor, which John didn't want to be. Takes on the fight from the inside. He can also be the problem for Market Equities that Beth wanted to be, and he has to do what John and Beth tell him to do.

Things ended better for Jimmy than I expected, I was sure that he was going to be told he couldn't leave.

Next season I hope we can move on from the whole Market Equities story line, I enjoyed Dutton vs Rainwater a lot more and would like for them to get the story back there.

Was thinking about that yesterday since it had been said on here before. What difference would there be from their top package already? King Ranch editions have been around over 20 years and have shaped how Ford sets up their packages. I can't see many people rushing out to buy a "Yellowstone" edition just from the show.
Only thing I have on that is there's a ton of people walking around in Yellowstone merchandise. It's picking up a lot of steam. I agree though, the Laramie Longhorn is basically their Kink Ranch. I just still think they could capitalize off a Yellowstone edition. I don't think it would do well in Texas, but other parts of the country would eat it up.
Are you wanting a Yellowstone edition or 50 Shades? I think the latter would sell better.

I agree with you on it selling better in different states than here.

IMO, the female FBI agent played by Elizabeth Olsen was done well, both from an acting and a writing aspect. She had to come into male-dominated worlds (LEO and the Rocky Mountains) and prove herself, and she held her own. She didn't show any airs of entitlement, didn't expect to be pampered, didn't complain, relied on Renner's character's expertise.

And Natalie, the young Native American woman who was raped, was also portrayed as a fighter. Renner said something like, "...that's a warrior. She made it six miles, barefoot. I doubt you make it 600 yards."

So that's at least two strong female characters.
Aaannnndddd, guess who the actress is in Wind River - the same one as everyone complains about as whining Monica in Yellowstone.

Seems Sheridan stays with his same grouping a lot. Wouldn't mind him finding a way to sneak in Elizabeth Olsen

Was that really bonding though? That just seemed like a conversation between two strangers at the bar. Besides, Monica has basically become the wedge that is splitting/has split Kacey from John. I don't disagree that Kacey staying would have corrupted him further, but Kacey has been a participant in fixing the ranch's "problems" so that's already a weight around his neck.

Well this sounds promising
https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2022/01/02/yellowstone-creator-taylor-sheridan-says-the-end-of-the-story-is-in-sight/

Beth was hot in the first season but the hard edges and constant emotional breakdowns and drama is grating. She's not hot enough for the constant chaos and eye rolls that she brings to the show.

I was hoping for some type of redemption for Jamie. I felt like he is the kid that gets constantly bullied and as a consequence has lost the ability to make good decisions….don't think that is going to happen anymore.

Oh really Mr. Sheridan? Season 4 was essentially walking in the same circle for over and over.

Also, am I the only one that cannot stand seeing Jamie's bio father wearing a cowboy hat and a nice shirt when he just sits at home? He was a lowlife garbage POS and now he wears a pressed shirt and hat everyday of the week while sitting at home.

My favorite part is the hat is too damn big. It rests on and pushes down his ears. When I first saw it I thought they'd done it intentionally but the more time passes and the lazier the writing gets, I'm not so sure. Because the straw hat he wore earlier in the show fit him just fine. Put a felt hat on the guy and all of a sudden I expect him to take flight.

Holy *****! His ears are enormous!!!

None of that thing makes sense. A dually tricked out like its a sand rail, but with a Yellowstone decal.

I wasn't willing to upgrade by Xfinity package or join Hulu/Youtube etc just to get Paramount for this one show.

Because that is who TS made a deal with, the deal was done before Paramount+ was a service. So now it just has to be on Peacock until the contract is up. By what i have heard was it was supposed to be there by Monday after the finale but I don't have Peacock so IDK.

I rewatched "Wind River" yesterday and saw at least 6 actors from Yellowstone:
* Kelsey Asbille - Monica on YS, Natalie on WR;
* Gil Birmingham - Thomas on YS, Martin on WR, bonus points for Texas Ranger Albert Parker on HoHW;
* Takola Black Elk - Sam Stands Alone on YS; Sam Littlefeather on WR;
* Ian Bohen - Ranch hand Ryan on YS, security guard Evan on WR;
* Hugh Dillon - Sheriff Donnie Haskell on YS, security guard supervisor Curtis on WR;
* James Jordan - Livestock agent Steve Hendon on YS, security guard Pete Mickens on WR;
