What's the name of the old man who woke jimmy up and told him not to sleep on the ground? I feel like I've seen him on several things.

Barry Corbin. Legendary Texas actor.

War Games, Northern Exposure, No Country For Old Men, The Ranch, etc etc

He'll always be Uncle Bob to me..

I felt this, but the previews for next week have him with the kid. He had a dummy out and was gonna start teaching him how to rope by the looks of it.
I feel like he's going to teach the kid to be a cowboy and thats how both he and the kid are back in the graces of everyone

Diabeetus commercials

That's Wilford Brimley (RIP), also in old westerns.

Met him once at Deer Valley ski area in the lodge.

Really really nice, just a genuine person.

Or he dies trying to save the kid and redeem himself.

They haven't killed off a "good guy" since early in season one when the older brother got shot near the Indian reservation. There's little to no drama on the show with who is going to survive, even during last year's surprise attacks in 3 different locations.

Killing Lloyd wouldn't be like killing Beth or Rip but it would be the next best thing, especially since Walker is in such a weird spot on being a good guy or bad guy.

That line chapped me a bit. I can think of a few other names I'd have chosen before George Strait. He's one of the patron saints, but "god"? In my book not quite.

Does Lloyd get kicked off next week ?

He'll end up hanging himself in the barn or something. Maybe get the boy to unknowingly help with his suicide.

Forrie Smith (Lloyd), Barry Corbin, Wilford Brimley, Buck Taylor all used to come rope in the Ben Johnson Celebrity Team Roping in Ft. Bend county for several years. I sat and talked with all of them at one time or another. Wilford was my most memorable visit, He actually leaned over from row behind my best friend and I and started talking to us while we watching our real hero Phil Lyne rope.
I roped with Buck Taylor in the Pro-Am one year, you would have never known any of them were anything but normal guys having fun at a roping.

You have to look at it from a cowboy perspective and, more importantly, a national perspective. The whole nation knows George Strait. The cowboys know Buster Welch. As do some rich people who own cutting horses.

Also, isn't Barry Corbin from Lubbock?

I went to JR High with his niece (I think) Sunny Lyne in George West. Got to meet him once at a roping. Nice guy.

Unless she has some onlyfans content I haven't found you can't judge a 10 until you've seen the whole package without clothes. Until then she'll have to be a 9.

Some of the plot turns in this show are just so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh because they're straight up soap opera moves. The end of the episode when Jamie is about to confront his dad, out comes his baby's momma and the son he's never met. Were we supposed to find it emotional, because I laughed out loud. I will continue to watch because I really enjoy the show, but sometimes it veers so far off the ranch it feels like we're being messed with. Marketed as a western, but with soap opera roots deep down inside. And maybe Sheridan knows cattle and horses, but calling a company Market Equities is something an idiot would think is a cool name for an evil corporation.

Just finished season 3 on peacock and it seems like paramount is not available standalone sub, and xfinity doesn't work with them. So I have to go through Hulu, YouTube, etc ?

So annoying.

Will it be on peacock immediately after season 4 ends, or not for awhile?

well it's not on Paramount+ their streaming service. It is on Paramount the cable network.

So you need some service (satellite, cable, or streaming) that carries Paramount channel.

I don't know the plan for it after the season ends. The Peacock deal for Yellowstone S1-3 predated the launch (rebrand) of Paramount+. TBD

Yellowstone is proof that men DO like soap operas...just ones with a little testosterone thrown in the mix.

It's basically Dallas. Complete with season 3's "who shot JR" ending. But I still love it.

And it's cinematically about the prettiest show I've ever watched.

I tolerate all the plot goofiness because:

1. Visually, it is probably the most stunning show on TV.
2. Beth Dutton is perhaps the best character ever written. The shoplifting scene with her sister in law is perhaps the high water mark of modern drama TV.

My wife just downrated our xfinity tv plan (long story that includes her quitting her job) and subsequently took paramount with it. Yellowstone was one of the few shows other than sports and HBO series that I watched live.

Looks like our only shot is to bootleg stream paramount or go with FuboTV that'll live stream paramount. Would have thought paramount+ had it but just learned today only seasons 1-3 are on peacock.

xfinity doesn't even come up as an option on the paramount app. But online looks like you can get paramount in one of the xfinity premier tiers.

Regardless, super annoying.

Wait until the last week of the season and get a one week trial for youtubetv, Hulu live, etc. set DVR for all Yellowstone episodes. You'll have the whole season recorded by the time the finale airs
