The soundtrack on this show is one thing that stays great. Awesome hearing Cody Johnson on the episode tonight.

A lot of storylines that seem a long way from completion for next week to be the season (series?) finale.

Why would you think there is a series finale?

So based on the preview, barrel racer chick is back in the finale? I thought she ****ed off after all that bunkhouse BS and dropping Jimmy. I don't see how they wrap up the storyline with the airport and governor race this season. I guess those will be the storylines to carry us into the next season. Guess Will Payton's character will be more prominent since he's going to be a weight around Jamie's neck.

At the beginning of the episode I was thinking that John was unaware of Garrett Randall's involvement with his attempted killing, based on what he told Beth about his killer. By the end of the episode, it became obvious that John knows how Randall and Riggins are connected. So why didn't he mention Randall to Beth? Why only Riggins?

Because they have not even announced the show was renewed, much less started filming. Every other season was basically filmed by this point in the season before it.

I would be shocked if it is not renewed. Covid messed with filming this season and am guessing it will mess with this next one as well.

Cole Hauser already confirmed a Season 5 as did Taylor in an interview.

Loved hearing Cody Johnson's "Dear Rodeo" tonight. Very fitting song for the scene for Jimmy.

Anyone know the name of the song Bingham played for Beth?

Don't disagree. That's why I only put series in parentheses with a question mark.

But it is unusual that paramount hasn't announced anything. The filming of this season dealt with Covid too (maybe even more so) as it was mostly filmed throughout summer and fall of 2020.

Isn't this like the #1 show on TV now? No way it's not renewed. I guess its just Just a matter of when.

It should be been called "last song I'll ever play".

Rip is not mad at Walker, he understands Beth needed the emotional release after meeting with Dad.

At some point Sheridan has to turn some attention to the next Sicario.

So Jimmy's been down at the sixes like a month. He then randomly hauls animals to ft worth where he runs into horse-dancer who has no idea jimmy was going to be there, yet horse-dancer ends the conversation by saying "get your ****, you're coming back". All jimmy needed apparently was a month to get his cowboying **** together?

.

Bedded a cowgirl with his spurs still on. That was the final test. He's ready.

He's been down for a long time. Months and months.

Made it through an entire winter (winter came and passed around episode 4 I think?")

Horse dancer is Travis Wheatley… a guy that's been in every season of the show thus far… and also happens to be the guy that took him to the 6666's.

He always said he was going to go back when he was ready. Travis's character said "he brought you up here to help with this? Well then you're ready". That's inferred that No Joe blow dumbass gets to help with the 6666s rodeo team. Jimmy is a cowboy and ready to go back to Dutton Prison.

Obviously Jimmy is ready, he's no longer wearing a baseball cap.

But yes, he's been down there for months. The timelines are a bit difficult to discern this year but I would guess it's been 6+ months.

We watch it as a family, and we start 30 mins late so we can fast forward through ALL THE DAMN COMMERCIALs. Jesus, I forgot how much network TV sucked.

Gotta hype the new RuPaul drag Queen show. Makes sense. Gotta take advantage of the huge overlap between Yellowstone and RuPaul fans.

I was thinking the same thing about the RuPaul commercials. Who the hell are they advertising to?

Must be a lot of viewers on Brokeback Mountain.

I started watching Seinfeld on Netflix recently. Those episodes are like 25 minutes long. Not even sure an hour long show today, like Yellowstone, is 25 minutes long lol

I fast forward, had no idea RuPaul was still alive.

Well RuPaul does in fact own a ranch in Wyoming. Something like 50K or 60K acres. So there might be more cross over than you realize.

The brand will still be a Y but it will have a circle around it and a line through it to symbolize the elimination of the Y chromosone.

My 17 year old son was on the episode last night for about ten seconds…..one of the three people in the announcers box in Fort Worth. Actually, Taylor Sheridan was giving him instructions on what to tell the crowd to do during the filming. Interestingly, a few months later they asked him to deejay the "Run For A Million" in Vegas which is what Taylor's "The Last Cowboy" is about. Taylor's wife sat with my son for that contest.

One more dad brag…..he's also the current youth reserve world champion in Cowhorse…..which was what they were doing last night in Fort Worth…..essentially a western horse triathlon of sorts that includes reining, cutting and fence work. And at 15, he created, owns and produces what is currently the #2 rated podcast in the western performance horse world.
