That was FANTASTIC. Filoni pitching like it's Game 7 of the World Series. Leave nothing in the tank.

I feel like we need a Crosshair + Vader team up, with that breathing gear he had.

I thought Crosshair was turning into Dengar the way they had him all bandaged up there.

Tangentially related, apparently Dengar was in Rise of Skywalker...only he looked like this

Another really solid episode! How many do we have left?

Edit - 16 total episodes so we're just halfway through now. So we maybe get a couple more episodes with Bane and the BB are trying to rescue Omega then a set of episodes where they're trying to thwart whatever the Empire and Kaminoans are up to.

After today's episode I'm thinking the force sensitive Omega theory is dead

This show is hitting its stride so quick, it's great. I can't wait to see where they go with it.

I wonder if Boba Fett (alpha) will show up and if Omega will then play a role in the Book of Boba Fett show they're developing. (Especially given Boba's partnership with Fennec in Mandalorian).

Given Boba and Omega are the only two pure Jango clones, that kind of makes them like siblings, right? So there could be a bond there, or a rivalry.

Was that a Snoke clone in that tank or just a Kaminoan?
redline248

Looked to me like a bigger Kaminoan.

I expected Fennec to have been hired by Boba after all that reveal.

I don't remember if it was mentioned that Boba knew her previously in the Mandalorian, but I seem to recall her only working with him there because she owed him for rescuing her. Could be misremembering, though

I remember them suggesting that was the case without straight up saying it, but there's enough wiggle room that you could retcon fennec being on tattooine as her looking to take shelter with her old friend boba Fett, who she suspected was still alive after hearing rumors of a man wearing his armor on tattooine, due to the price on her head.

Or something like that. Lots of wiggle room to flesh out that relationship more.

I really like where they're going with this show. I was not necessarily a big fan of the bad batch gang during the Clone Wars run, but I really like the team, the story so far, and how it plays into the bigger picture.

I wondered how this show would compare to what Disney is doing with the likes of Wandavision or TFATWS, both of which I really liked, but altogether different purposes within their respective environments. Great to see this is more consistent with Clone Wars, with some arcs that are very relevant to the main story, and some that are just for storytelling and character development.

I didn't watch Clone Wars until this year, and I consider the ending to be one of the best in all media. To steal from someone else's analogy - Filoni pitched an absolutely perfect game when the stakes were high. If he can keep Bad Batch in the same league, I've got no doubt it'll be a gem in it's own right when it's all said and done.

Not a bad episode. Not their best but curious to see what's next considering their debt has been paid and they can move on from where they've been hiding out.or they'll end up getting wrapped up with helping to free Raxis.

I really want to see more of what the empire is doing honestly.they way the first few episodes started (especially the first long one) has still got me interested in that

I know animation is its own thing with its own aesthetic and set of rules. You can do things with it that you just can't do live action.

But... it sure would be fun for Disney to pick an episode of this show and just try it live action (heavy CG obviously) and see where it goes. Maybe last week's episode with Bane and Shane to really push limits and see what they can do with it.

I'm curious if this is intended to be more than 1 season. Probably about 8 to 10 years before rebels picks up

Yep. I second that. Ignored clone wars until this year, binged it, it had real, good moments and a lot of filler, but the last few episodes were great.

Really like the visuals this week of the AT-TEs being used as symbols of oppression and military might after being the "save the day" force in so many battles of Clone Wars and in Episode II.

I really like the ambition of showing the transition from Republic to Empire. Pretty heady stuff for a cartoon.

If Boba Fett is born in 32 BBY (Wookiepedia), and Bad Batch is now a few months after Order 66, he's 12 or 13? Omega seems more like 8 or 9. I'm really confused why they made her at all. Is it necessary to make a new clone in order to keep the DNA from disappearing?

It would be pretty cool if the early Palpatine clone work included Kaminoans trying to infuse their own species with the Force, which created Snoke - certainly has the build of a Kaminoan if not really the look. if Palpatine wanted a leader for the First Order who was not mistaken for himself, going with a different species would have been the way to make ti seem like some other dark sider user had arisen to take command.

It's still just so laughable that we have to resort to cartoons and series like the Mandalorian to try and make sense of the mess created by Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker when it comes to Snoke and Palpatine

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think it's awesome. Or at least on par with the Clone Wars fleshing out the prequels.

You bringing up the Ghost crew seems a bit prophetic given this week's episode

Thought it was a cool "origins" episode. We've seen Kenan and now Hera and Chopper. I wonder if we'll see some more ghost crew

A nice touch to give Hera the Ryloth accent that she will lose over time.
Excited to see Chopper, forgot how much fun he was.
That felt like the premiere of a spinoff series called "Life on Ryloth" and the Bad Batch just had a cameo to people would tune in.

im telling ya. I'm pretty good at this stuff and pretty much called the shot on the last episode of Mando season 2

That being said I loved this episode! I seriously yelled at the TV at the end going, "NO! That's how it ends!?!?"

My oldest son is predicting that the clone captain who shows his face in this episode (I don't believe we hear a name) is going to turncoat on the baddies and become one of the clone soldiers that we see with old Rex in Rebels.

This was a real good one this week!

I've never played Fallen Order but I've been so intrigued by it since I saw a free demo in a store one time. Last year I watched 2 hours of all of the cut scenes spliced together.

After watching the Bracca episode where Wrecker almost gets eaten by the dianoga in the star destroyer I went back and watched those cut scenes. As the Jedi and his buddy in Fallen Order are jumping around there appears to be a giant dianoga in the middle of the scrap heap. Same one?
jeffk

That would be my guess, yeah. It's a really fun game and the ending is a fantastic payoff.

I'd love to play it, alas I still have only an Xbox 360 that hasn't been plugged in in years.
