Loved the first episode. Already got a solid tie in to Rebels.

Hope they figure out a way to "fix" Crosshairs... great turn, but a redemption angle would be awesome too.

Did anyone feel like Omega looked a lot like Boba in Ep2?

They're clones so..

New one was fine. Really liked seeing more of the transitioning from Republic to Empire. Wasn't crazy about the kid doing exactly what you expect the kid to do.

There are only 2 episodes so far, right?

Wait what? There's another episode out already?

So how frequently are these getting released?

Once a week. I forgot to watch last week, so I watched both yesterday.

The show premiering early in the week threw the releases off, otherwise it would have been 10-11 days between the first and second episodes.

They wanted one on May 4th, so that is why the premiere was on an odd release day.

but what if she's force sensitive and the Kaminoans were experimenting with making a force sensitive clone which in this case they would've succeeded

Hunter: Nice shot back there. Where did you learn to do that?
Omega: I don't know. I've never shot a blaster before. I guess I got lucky.

Omega - Wikipedia:

As the final letter in the Greek alphabet, omega is often used to denote the last, the end, or the ultimate limit of a set

I guess we will see how the series plays out, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Omega turns out to be a force sensitive clone.

I had a similar thought on omega. But maybe she is all 4 of the other "bad batch" combined. The last of that experiment, with the traits of all the others.

This week's was okay.

Im enjoying it, but the major plot lines are running closer to those of Mando than I'd prefer.

I think it's natural to jump to the Force sensitive guess, and there are some reasons to think that here, but I don't think they do it. UNLESS they're planning some cross-narrative culmination in a show about Luke's academy (bringing in Grogu, Omega, Ben, Ezra, and others maybe introduced in the Ahsoka show).

But, I just think she's the Omega (the end/ultimate) clone. So far she's a good shot, is aggressive, and intuitive. Throw in some natural genius and display some heightened senses/awareness and she's taking traits from all the Bad Batch.

In Cut and Run, which went like you would expect without surprises, I still found myself upset at the idea of her leaving the team.

If omega were some super being, she either gets killed or something wierd happens or she'd have found her way into the main trilogy.

There are always ways to write around that.

I didn't get to watch Episode I until this week and was totally blown away by the quality of it. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but a 75-minute mini-movie involving Caleb Dume, Depa Bilapa, Tarkin, and Saw Gerrera was not it! The opening battle was fantastically detailed, down to Caleb not actually seeing his master killed, leaving him that faint hope she survived that he carries into the first season of Rebels.

Loved seeing the Bad Batch's improvisation when Tarkin used the live fire. Loved seeing the Kaminoans havign some personality when their business model suddenly went to hell. Loved seeing how built in the clones were to worshipping Palpatine. There was a lot of Danerys Targaryen telling the unsullied/dothraki about taking over the world vibe in that.

Second episode was a pretty steep drop-off by comparison. I liked the SW Galaxies callback with the little nuna creatures on Salecumai. If you played that game back in the 2000s, I'm sure like me you killed a lot of those and a lot of gnorts and womp rats trying to get through those first few levels of the game on Tatooine.

The helping good people get away from the Empire plot was too similar to a lot of episodes of Rebels for my tastes. I was going to say it was a wasted episode for a miniseries, but I just checked online and there are 16 episodes of this thing. That makes me feel a lot better about it.

My initial theory on Omega is that if she's the ultimate clone, there's only one person with enough bravado to have that name - and that person is Sheev Palpatine. Could she be the first experimental Palpy clone? If so, the Bad Batch is really in for it pursuit wise because that is some serious personal property to be stealing.

Yeah. For example, Rex was retconned into the Battle of Endor as part of Han's strike team

2nd episode was great! Of course there's going to be a drop off when we go from an hour+ long episode to 30 minutes and when they had such a strong tie in to characters we already knew about.

This episode was a step down but a necessary one. It established more information on the foothold the empire was beginning to hold on people and like a previous poster mentioned....is a nice addition to what happened in the premier episode with the Kaminoans learning about the empire wanting to end clone production.

That tied in with how they are registering people I think is connected. Think about how the storm troopers were all numbered in the OT....they were always Tk##### or something like that....and in this episode we've learned they are numbering all civilians to create a database....hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I think we're going to get some more background info on how troops were recruited for the empire and how they established their control...which would be pretty awesome.

Looking forward to the next one

Another thing sort of bothers me; if these pencil necks can turn out billions of super soldiers with a secret chip to make them do sidious' bidding, dont you think theyd have a double secret probation chip to make sure that above all they do the pencil neck's bidding?
Atreides Ornithopter
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Maybe the numbered civilians start having to associate their medical history with that chip.

Omega got a lot more interesting when I saw the picture of voice actress Michelle Ang.

Second episode didn't do it for me. I don't really have a specific reason why, just didn't feel myself pulled in like you want from a Star Wars show.

I wish they would release all the episodes at once so I can binge watch.

I hope they expand more on Caleb's story line. You can't just give us a teaser in the first episode and leave it there.
They already have

It's Kanan from Rebels

Honestly had no idea until I saw a few reaction videos.

It's a terrible show full of worthless, boring characters with no powerful emotions and very few exciting moments, nor does it have any connections to the PT, OT, or Clone Wars, or the Mandalorian, that will enhance you enjoyment and knowledge of those shows: You're right not to watch it.

I'm really hoping Filoni is setting himself up to do the Thrawn trilogy.

Spoilers from the books:

if so, I would be cool if they were setting up Omega play the role of Joruus C'baoath

Wow, that is not something I thought of, but that would be nuts. I just finished by 50th or 60th reread of the Thrawn trilogy. It's been amazing seeing Thrawn and Rukh on the small screen in cartoon form, and obviously hoping to see live-action in Ahoska's series. Garm Bel Ibilis appeared in The Force Unleashed, and Talon Karrde and Mara in other video games, but seeing all those poeple in something real would be amazing.

Do you think there is any way Zahn would reboot Mara Jade? I, being the uncreative cretin that I am, can't think of any purpose to do it. I suppose it could still be a love interest for Luke while he's building his academy, but we all know where that would end.
Fat Bib Fortuna
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'd take a Mara Jade: The Emperor's Hand show set during the OT in a minute. LIve-action, anti-hero, serving Palpatine without really understanding who Palpatine is. Have Ian McDiarmid shoot a few scenes. Have Vader and Thrawn and Tarkin in it. I guess it might be easier as a cartoon, but whatever.

Tomorrow's episode is called "Replacements" and appears to be the debut of Fennec Shand.

This was kind of my point. Sequels ruined any chance of a character like her, for all intents and purposes.
