How in the world are they going to wrap this up in one more season? Bridging the gap between the current timeline and Gene is going to be tough for viewers that haven't watched breaking bad. Do they even try to make it stand on its own or will they make it where you have to watch breaking bad? Can't imagine explaining how that happened while closing out the existing story lines.
I don't think it's necessary. BCS is a half-measure less enjoyable without watching Breaking Bad first, so I bet a great majority of viewers have already seen BB. Maybe we will get a few minutes of narrative set in the BB timeline to help fill in any remaining blanks, and possibly fan service, but that's about it.

Saul and Kim are going to have to come up with some coin to go the vacuum cleaner route. Saul has his 100K minus the hotel binge, hope that Kim socked away some of her fancy lawyering money.

Going rate for Jessie was $125K so they should be close depending on how much time elapses, but it won't be much and does Saul already know this guy or is it a Mike contact? Doesn't seem like it because Mike makes people go away his way.

Of maybe it's Saul's first use and that's why he knows the contact for Walt and Jessie.

I don't think Kim goes the Vacuum Cleaner Repairman route.

Me either. But I don't think she gets busted on the scheme and loses her license because if she did that, why wouldn't Saul go with her back to BFE Nebraska or somewhere far away and bring home the bacon? At that point, he would just have to cut her loose since she is actively participating and not being forced.

Maybe there's bad blood because Kim gets busted and Saul/Jimmy doesn't? He could work to save his own ass in the mess angering Kim. I don't know. I don't think she dies and I don't think she "disappears" with the vacuum cleaner guy.

Do we know approximates for how much the Sandpiper deal will pay them? Saul said 20% (of I assume what the lawyers are paid), but I don't know enough to say whether that is something with 1 comma or 2 commas.

They said Saul would get roughly $2 million.

Maybe Nacho calls the vacuum repairman.

I could see Mike arranging the vacuum repairman for Nacho (or his dad) via Saul so Fring doesn't know it was actually Mike.

Sadly, unless it was already filmed, no one else is calling the vacuum repair man.

He doesn't have to appear on camera. We don't even have to hear his voice. There were at least one or two "appearances" in BB before we saw him.

BCS takes place in 2002-2004 or so, while BB takes place in 2008-2010, right?

We know by 2008, Saul Goodman is an established criminal lawyer with all the various criminal connections, and he's resigned himself to that existence. We know that in 2004, Jimmy McGill is still the controlling identity, and there are just hints of Saul Goodman.

So something has to happen next season that's the catalyst for Saul "killing off" the McGill aspect of his personality entirely. Something has to push him over the edge, and I think it has to be something tragic with Kim, because Kim is the only person that's ever really believed in Jimmy. Without her as that anchor, he's going to drift just into Saul land.

I think Kim is what pushes him over the edge, rather than being the anchor pulling him back.

**** it, I'm rooting for Lalo

Seems like a good bad guy? I can't tell what side I'm on anymore.
It really is a crazy feeling to not know what you want. When the hit squad stormed in I said to myself "I should want this crazy evil ******* to die but he's so great that I don't think I do".

Then his escape was awesome and now I realize I'm so glad we'll have him for the final season.

In the final shot before it cut to black, Lalo reminded me of the T-1000 from Terminator 2, except programmed with the greatest personality ever. He has that same, scary, relentless vibe. To watch him go full T-1000 next season, tracking down Saul, Nacho, and everyone else, should make for amazing television.
Whoever made the call for him to slowly build his pace up as he was walking, perfecto. You could just feel the rage building and flowing off of him

I was unaware of this. Is there a story behind it?
I seem to recall the actor saying that it takes a lot out of him to get amped up to play Tuco.

That's probably like 2% of people watching BCS.

Best part about last night was we get another season of Lalo. He's such a great character.
PatAg
How long do you want to ignore this user?
So potential story lines

Lalo:
He didn't see Nacho dead by the firepit. So he knows he is alive, probable he assumes Nacho was involved
Knows Fring was involved and thus Mike
Might suspect Saul (and thus Kim) of being involed

Have to assume all of these people are in danger

Nacho:
Where is he going, it didn't seem like Fring had a way out for him, and the vehicles were inside the impound

Saul:
What will he do when he finds out Lalo isn't dead (we already know the "did Lalo send you" line, so he cleary will be in fear of him at some point again)
You figure at some point we will see some Nebraska story, but that also probably means we never really do

Kim:
How badly do the writers want to break us up again, because her story line could go a lot of different ways (most of them negative)

anything else?

Just saying, to act you have to put yourself in the headspace of the role you are portraying.

I'm sure you are familiar with "act as if", or fake it till you make it

Now apply that to pretending to be a pyschopathic killer for years at a time, can't be good for your mind.

I understand what you are saying, manual labor is not enjoyable for anyone that has done it (roofing/landscaping) but thats easy to relate to because we have all been physically tired.

Help me out here. Lalo rolls into his compound in a black SUV (seen above). Yet, his car he gifts the Don got down there. Did they drive the car across the border and just happened to have an SUV w/o his people knowing to roll with?

I've thought "wow" many times with her over the course of the series. She is regular girl hot.
