I would still give TDK an A+ and this movie an A-.
The story and villain are still superior in TDK.

I thought he did great as Batman, and okay as Bruce. I like Bale's version of Bruce better.
Upped to $128.5M. Wouldn't be surprised to see it overperform a bit today to hit 130.

There have been some fine actresses in the Batman franchise, although that was a department that Nolan's series was a little light on beyond Anne Hathaway for me. Would put ZK in my top 3 with Pfeiffer and straight hair Kidman.

Catwoman's face gouge was the most gruesome moment for me.

Pattinson is 6'1" so close on that front, but he seems distractingly skinny. I've always thought of someone more JJ Watt size or Ray Childress proportion. Oh well.

If I were to venture a guess, Pattinson will be both bigger / more jacked, and more clean cut in the sequel.

I've read everything from 1987 to present, and yes they are.
My favorites in reading order:
Year One, The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Ego, Hush, and Court of Owls (probably want to read City of Owls for the conclusion). These are pure classics.
Others (not in order) include Batman Universe, The Imposter, The Man Who Laughs, Under the Red Hood, No Man's Land, the Knightfall trilogy, The Killing Joke, Murderer and Fugitive, The Dark Knight Returns, anything by Paul Dini, anything by Grant Morrison, anything by Scott Snyder, anything by Tom King.
You really can't go wrong with any modern Batman stories
Whatever you do, just stay far, far, far, far away from All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder. Just don't even. Stay away. Also stay away from The Dark Knight Returns sequels. 9/11 really ****ed up Frank Miller's mind.
