Awesome to hear on both accounts. I don't remember a ton of specifics about the animated series, but when I think back on it, for whatever reason, the Freeze stuff definitely comes to the forefront. Like, I think of Batman fighting him before I think of Batman even fighting the Joker in that series.

Would love to see a movie with Freeze, Clayface, and killer croc battling it out in the sewers.
Honestly, the Red Hood storyline in the video games would be awesome to see on the big screen, but it would require 3-4 movies to do the story properly.

Will you be annoyed if, in this iteration, Bruce's parents/family prove to have been corrupt in some capacity? Or potentially even members of the Court of Owls?
Because it's being heavily implied in the trailers that the Riddler is almost assuredly uncovering some kind of corruptness, or at least corrupt-adjacent dealings, on the part of the Waynes, that Bruce didn't know about.
Personally, as long as it's handled adequately, and lends well to the theme and a compelling character arc for Bruce, that's all I really care about. I'm just wondering if the Waynes not being 100% infallible champions for all that is right and good is a deal-breaker for some of you or not, or if there's any precedent for that in the comics (which I know next to nothing about).

No, I'd think that's an interesting side to Bruce's character that we haven't explored in film yet.

Yeah, and the Bruce we get in the movies is always just internally angry about crime and criminals? Some internal conflict about his family or purpose or legacy is a good change of pace.

The comics are mainly told from Bruce's point of view, and he has a 10 year old's view of them. In his eyes they could never possibly do anything wrong.
I'm hesitant about them being full on corrupt, but if it's done well (which I think it will) then it can add a great layer to the movie.
I have a feeling the Wayne's did some shady stuff but overall still have hearts of gold. Maybe they did whatever they did for the betterment of Gotham, but it was definitely a moral grey area or wrong altogether. (Sorry for the bad grammar there)

This is what I'm thinking as well. Still "good" people who potentially did a bad thing out of necessity or for what they thought was the greater good.

Yeah, it definitely appears as if the Wayne's did something bad to the Riddler/his family back in the day, inadvertently or not. I'm just really, really hoping it doesn't go so far as to take roughly the same route as Joker, with Bruce and Riddler potentially sharing Thomas Wayne as a father or whatever. I'm 99.9% certain Reeves wouldn't go there, but there *does* seem to be some kind of Riddler-as-a-kid being jealous thing that I can't quite figure out.

Not really a big fan of Spider-Man, to be honest. None of the three versions of Spider-Man in that movie ever resonated with me. Also, once I got to a certain point I started holding out for The Batman. Just thought that would have been last June (or even October).

I've met Channing multiple times and he's a cool dude. I know his former wife's dad really well. Channing downgraded to Zoe from Jenna if you ask me
