Now I can only think about a Batman / Army of Darkness crossover.

Batman: "You, you are not an inmate at Arkham Asylum, who are you?"
Ash "Who wants to know?"
Batman: "I am Batman. The Dark Knight. The Caped Crusader."
Ash: "Well hello Mister Fancy Pants. Well I've got news for you, you aren't a knight and you're not on a Crusade."

Scarecrow: "I'll swallow your soul!"
Ash: "Come get some."

Poison Ivy (after her transformation): You found me beautiful once.
Ash: Honey, you got real ugly.

Ash (To Talia Al'Ghul): "Yo, she-*****! Let's go."

Would be awesome. This board is a gold mine for movie ideas. TC needs to get his sh^t together and mine it!

My sh*t is most definitely coming together. I have an announcement coming soon, just waiting for it to be made public. Then, let the gold mining begin...

There's a 2nd unit currently filming in Chicago. Apparently they're filming scenes on the street from The Dark Knight where Joker was captured after daring Batman to run him over with the Batpod.

Our first look at John Turturro as Carmine Falcone to Kravitz' left. In another picture she has her arm interlocked with his, as if they're a couple. So in this iteration, it looks like Selina Kyle and Carmine Falcone are an item.

In the Long Halloween Storyline Falcone was Selina Kyles biological father. So I strongly doubt they'll be an item in the movie.

Allegedly. Its never definitively proven

Nothing is definitely proven in Long Halloween. Not even the murderer.

Jeph Loeb's Batman mysteries are also a mystery to himself. Even Hush is open ended like Long Halloween.

Matt Reeves' The Batman prequel series centering around the Gotham PD has a new show runner.

In theaters one year from today.

Hard to believe that we still have a year left, as this was originally set to hit this June, and then October. Especially when this was a year ago today...

March still feels weird and random as hell for this movie, though. Summer and maybe even October more so felt so much more appropriate. Which is why I still wonder if this moves one last time.

Just hope it moves up and not back again.

Same. But at this point I just don't see how. With Dune and No Time to Die now in October, Eternals, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and M:I7 in November, and Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Matrix 4 in December, there's just no room at all for another massive blockbuster the last quarter of the year. Unless, by some miracle, WB decides to move Dune up to summer, or for some reason Paramount moves M:I7 back (which there is zero talk of, for the record), if The Batman does move, I'm afraid it would be to summer 2022.

That said, for us blockbuster fans, it's a great "problem" to have. Because the final three months of this year are just bonkers.

Agreed, because I'm seeing all of those movies when they come out since I'm already vaccinated.

That's awesome. Granted, I can't possibly imagine the virus having any effect on the movie industry after Labor Day or so, but still, congrats on being able to get vaccinated so soon.

It is weird that you reply to yourself, but otherwise thanks for the insight.

Ha, someone always says this, but it's standard practice on Twitter and the like. I'm forming the equivalent of a chain so that my thoughts are connected, which seems normal to me. I don't think of it as a proper "reply," like I'm having a conversation with myself. It's just an extension of the previous thought.

It's all good. I understand it, it is just funny because I don't know anyone else on texags that does it.

No offense, but it seems like a troll job to drop this nugget on the thread for this movie without any explanation.

On a side note, I would love to hear your reasoning.

Sorry guys - was offline for a while.

Mainly I am just getting Batman fatigue - really enjoyed the 3 Bale movies as it was someone of a story continuation. I know the same guy can't play him forever - but at least try and continue with carry-over storylines if possible. Not a fan of completely new story arcs - hard to shake what we have seen in previous movies.

The other reason is that I don't see Pattison as good fit for the role. While he may have gotten more buff over the years, I can't shake the vision of a pale-faced soy boy who's skinnier than my teenage niece.

Just my 2 cents.

Why do the movies all have to tie into each other? Especially for one based on comic books, which have tons of unrelated stories.

I get your question - just saying I liked the 3 Bale movies because of it. Maybe I just too used to the Marvel movies or the Star Wars saga lately where all movies have some tie to each other,

That is fair. I think the complete opposite. I love seeing someone else take a stab at creating such an iconic character, city, villians and ambiance that Batman and Gotham city bring.

Batman will always be my favorite super hero, and maybe that was influenced by the batman ride at six flags in Houston being my favorite ride growing up. There was just something cool about that world.

Thanks for your thoughts. I truly appreciate you coming back and sharing them.

I'm looking forward to it because this will focus on Bruce instead of Gotham and his villains. It will dive into his psyche more than the stupid "Bruce is his mask, Batman is his true self" crap.

My favorite thing I've seen about this movie is director Matt Reeves saying that this story will be told squarely on Bruce's shoulders. You can see that with a lot of the POVs in the trailer (Bruce following Gordon down the hallway, looking at the Riddler scribbles, watching different things happening).

It is also based on Batman: Ego, which is a comic that hasn't ever been the source of an adaptation (by the late great Darwyn Cooke).

This movie will have sequels, so there will be story continuation.

I was hesitant about Pattinson when I originally heard the announcement, but after hearing others tout his acting chops lately and then watching The Lighthouse and Tenet, I'm very interested in seeing his portrayal. To be honest, I can't think of another actor his age that has impressed me as much.

Granted, that could just be the juxtaposition between Twilight and his most recent movies...

They're giving Matt Reeves pretty much free reign on this. The issues most people have with DC is really with Zack Snyder.

I don't think Zack Snyder had much to do with WW84...or Suicide Squad.
