Yep, because of Dune. Damn. I figured the most this would be pushed back was to that December 22, 2021 spot, but WB moved the fourth Matrix movie into that spot instead (up from 2022). I can't believe we got a trailer for this over a month a go, yet we we now have to 17 months until we see the movie itself. I know WB has liked that early-to-mid March spot for certain blockbusters in years past, but a Batman movie in March just feels weird. This should either be a big summer movie, an early October movie (like Joker and Blade Runner 2049, Halloween season, etc), or a big Thanksgiving/Christmas movie. It takes away some of the "event" feel releasing it at a time of year we don't really associate with blockbusters, especially one like this.

I don't know. WW84 will no doubt move from December to some point in 2021, but WB has already left tons of room for it to do so. The next DC movie after it isn't until August 2021. So WW84 can slide back to spring or the first half of summer '21, no problem. Knock on wood, but I just can't see another massive shift. It's increasingly looking like we'll have a vaccine available to Average Joe Public by the spring, and once that happens, theater going will be back on in full force, if not a bit earlier, potentially. I could be wrong, of course, but I just can't see 2022 releases being significantly affected anymore.

Fauci, of all people, was on CNN tonight saying he's confident a vaccine will be widely available to the public by spring. He said it's going to first responders and essential workers by the end of this year, then on to the public as we move into 2021. But let's say theaters don't open again until next May. That STILL gives WB plenty of room to release WW84 in, say, June, and not have to shift their calendar back again hardly at all. I'm not saying Batman won't move again from spring to summer 2022, I'm just saying that I don't think it will *need* to.

Maybe she's his daughter? Just an alternate theory.

If you look closely you'll see three scratches on his face, similar to those Catwoman gave Falcone in The Long Halloween and in the New 52 canon.

In most iterations the Kyle name is one she adopted on her own, as her parentage has changed a ton over the 80 years of the character. Of course, Frank Miller also made her a former prostitute, so there's that...

Definitely seeing Year One, Long Halloween, and Ego.

If you read Ego, it makes the final scene of the trailer totally different.

Reeves says Ego was their biggest inspiration for the movie.

Spoilers for Ego: Bruce is visited by the demon spirit of Batman. He has to come to terms with his no kill rule and with Batman's brutality while also keeping Bruce's humanity.

My theory in how that relates to the movie: Seems like Reeves will have Bruce struggle with being Batman, and come to terms with it to grow into the Bruce Wayne and Batman we know
