Wow. Can't believe he actually landed the role, but I'm all for it.

Pattison is now doing Christopher Nolan's next blockbuster and Batman back-to-back. Both Warner Bros. movies, both two of their biggest tentpoles the next two summers ('20 and '21, respictively). And he's leading both. Insane.

Everything I've seen says that he's been a great actor, I'm just like most people and turned off by him being in Twilight. Will definitely be there opening night and be following the production closely. Other than Armie Hammer, I wasn't too crazy about anyone. I do think he would look great in the cowl, though!

Just FYI, Pattinson is in the bag. The Hoult stuff is nothing more than the studio covering its tracks until the deal is officially done. It's now pretty obvious that Deadline is just carrying Warner Bros' water on this one.

Based on your Hamm and Gyllenhaal suggestions, you might be wanting a different movie. It's been heavily rumored that it'd likely be an early-30s Batman for a while now, though. It sounds like part of the plot is that Batman is not quite a veteran yet (though it's not an origin story either).
