i really liked this episode just because it illuminated some things that were merely hinted at in the books
-as far as stannis/mel, any astute book reader knew that. they're still leaving the shadowbabies to be a bit of a surprise though, mel just said she would give stannis "sons"...wait til non-readers find out what that means

-don't really mind jon's change. makes it a little more exciting and intense. didn't really understand why they had to have Craster catching him and attacking him, kind of a weird choice, but hey, that's why i love the show as a separate entity from the books.
-all of theon's scenes were awesome, they're handling it perfectly. the theon/yara stuff was exactly how i imagine it from the books (except the name change obviously), and my non-reader friends were laughing hysterically when they realized what happened
-arya/gendry/hot pie/lommy...just awesome. i love their conversations, and the guy playing yoren is a ****in badass. gendry saying m'lady at the end was also straight from the books...
-...as was bronn's line about "i'd ask how much" in response to tyrion. i love that they kept that in there. and bronn being commander of the city watch is fine, no one's gonna miss Jacelyn Bywater.
-ros scene was strange. i get that they were trying to show how ruthless and cold-hearted Littlefinger is, but that monologue dragged a bit and tried to characterize him in a way that i feel has already been done
pumped for next week! i actually feel like they're staying true to the books in a lot closer way than some people realize, they're mostly just giving us a "fly-on-the-wall" PoV in some places that we didn't have in the books.
one complaint - DAVOS TALKS WAY TOO FAST! i love the actor but dang dude, slow it down, i can barely understand you
