In 2022, they changed the tech regulations. It shook things up quite a bit, especially Mercedes who struggled with "porpoising", resulting from the change in design. Teams were able to start the year just fine, but Mercedes fell down the order after 8 years of dominance.

The challenge will be to see how quickly teams can adapt once racing begins.

Often what the drivers hate or love has nothing to do with what's good for the fans.

Giuliano Duchessa of Autoracer (seems to be a legit journalist) is reporting that Alonso and Stroll were chewing multiple pieces of gum during testing so it would act as a mouthguard and protect them from the vibrations.

That is ****ing insane.

Aston Martin can only do 25 laps because of vibrations from the Honda engine?!?! WOW. Lawrence Stroll seems like a total jack hole. I wonder if he try's to can Newey or Honda and switch engines mid season. Not sure you can do that, but as bad as that Honda engine sounds, if it was my team I'd try to get to another engine NOW.

pretty pointless of Apple TV to now show F2 and F3 there instead you have to still use the F1 TV app and connect your apple tv id

Yep. It looks like the F1TV app, at least on the AppleTV box, is nerfed a bit. It doesn't have the full weekend of sessions preloaded for any of the levels.

The wrb browser interface show all sessions.

Sky sports coverage has already started. It's buried under Australia race weekend subfolder.

FP1 starts at 7:30 but there is always pre coverage

Love the new broadcast options. Going back and forth between the Apple main broadcast and Sky Sports feed to see which I like better.

Love the concept of the driver focused channel but not sure how much of that I'll actually tune in to

Yeah. We just went through the exercise of figuring all that out. My son is a Crofty fan so we prefer Sky Sports coverage.

Is anyone else's timing off? I have sky,main, driver tracker and data channel in a quad multi-view and the broadcast feeds are 8s behind.

Forgot it went to Apple TV. Wonder how many drive to survive fans they'll lose like myself. I enjoy it but not enough for a new subscription.

Watching multi-view on the Vision Pro while sitting on the Moon was nice. Large view on the broadcast plus two small views on the data info and track map was the ideal layout. Might watch from one of Jupiters moons next
