This is mostly true, but not true for Red Bull. Max prefers a car with a lot of turn-in oversteer.NewOldAg said:
Do people not realize that slow cars that are squeezing performance are harder to drive than fast cars with a performance cushion?

Woohoo! One less playing of the Dutch national anthem.
I actually think he's good enough to be "the man" but Ferrari wouldn't let him unseat Leclerc. Half the time he's a better strategist than the guy calling it on the radio.,Poot said:
Yeah, Sainz seems like he's in a "no man's land"… not quite good enough to be THE guy, but too good to be a 2nd driver. Weird deal.

Very cool for he and Charles, I'm sure. Excited for it to be Hamilton in that Ferrari instead of Carlos.Gladiator 96 said:🚨 | BREAKING: Arthur Leclerc will replace Carlos Sainz in FP1 at Abu Dhabi.

“I’ve known him 12 years and now I’ve lost respect for him. He’s made it personal and someone needs to stand up to a bully. People have let him get away with murder… He can’t deal with adversity. Whenever things aren’t going his way he lashes out with anger and violence.”

I don't dislike him as person at all, just was extremely disappointed by his results at Ferrari and felt he did not ever really deserve to drive for themFancyKetchup14 said:
I'm going to miss Carlos in that other Ferrari. He seems like a really good dude. Hope he can work some magic at Williams and help turn that pile of crap around.

For most of his tenure, I fee like Ferrari let him down more than vice versa.

I personally think he was far behind Charles a lot of the time, always fighting over P5 or P6 when Charles was scoring podiums. Just my personal opinion though, I think Lewis will be more on Charles' level and will help the team.
Good for George. He's absolutely right and glad somebody is standing up to Max's tired act.FancyKetchup14 said:
ol Georgie with some words for Max. No fights would ever happen cause most of these guys grew up soft as baby sh*t. "I find it all quite ironic, seeing as Saturday night he said he was going to purposefully go out of his way to crash into me and 'put me on my f***ing head in the wall,'" Russell said. "So to question somebody's integrity as a person while saying comments like that the day before, I find, is very ironic, and I'm not going to sit here and accept it.
"People have been bullied by Max for years now, and you can't question his driving abilities. But he cannot deal with adversity. Whenever anything has gone against him Jeddah '21, Brazil '21 he lashes out. Budapest this year, the very first race the car wasn't dominant, crashing into Lewis (Hamilton), slamming his team … As I said, for me, those comments on Saturday night and Sunday were totally disrespectful and unnecessary."
Quote:
According to De Telegraaf, when the quote about putting Russell in the wall was put to Verstappen, he said it was "not true, I didn't say it like that. He's exaggerating again."
Verstappen went on to say that Russell was a "backstabber" for his comments. "The way he brings up all this nonsense, he's just a loser," Verstappen said. "He lies and cobbles things together that don't add up. I only voiced my opinion about his behavior with the stewards. Clearly, he couldn't handle that."
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5971607/2024/12/05/verstappen-russell-qatar-f1-grand-prix/Quote:
Before Russell's quotes were published publicly, Verstappen was asked generally in his pre-race press availability about his interaction with Russell following the hearing, to which he said he had "no regrets at all" because "I meant everything I said."
"And it's still the same," Verstappen said. "If I had to do it again, maybe I would've said even more, knowing the outcome of the race results. I still can't believe that someone can be like that in the stewards' room.
"For me, that was so unacceptable because, I mean, we're all racing drivers, we all have a lot of respect for each other, we even play sports together, you know, you travel together, and of course, you have moments where you get together, you crash, you're not happy.
"In my whole career, I've never experienced what I have experienced in the stewards' room in Qatar. And for me, that was really unacceptable."
Charles Leclerc has been handed a 10-place grid penalty for Sunday’s race.

George is unlikeable and his two-face personality has been corroborated by other drivers. His rant also comes off as whiney and emotional, part of what he claims was said that night have already been reported as fabricated, he also refused to sit next to Max at the drivers dinner. Max for all his faults is nothing if not honest and speaks his mind as he sees it, like him or not he's at least genuine.
