That race was pretty dull. Not a lot of excitement. Vegas is all flash.

I think the Mercedes dominance this weekend was unexpected and seemed to throw a wrench into the weekend. Everyone seemed to go into points protection mode and no one really tried to challenge Mercedes. Max has his title now and Checo has essentially disappeared from trying to help Red Bull win Constructors.

Really all I know about it is Gunther's point of view in his book. And, got to say, I kind of agree with him. These potential teams weren't knocking down the door before this recent popularity swing. The current teams put in the work, I can see why they don't want to split the pie.

F1 has allowed Private Equity to move in in a big way i.e. Williams as an example. They've added 3 races in the USA that weren't here before. To say that a USA based team can't be in the sport because the "current teams put in the work" doesn't really fly when they've benefited from the expansion into the market. It goes both ways.
