I'd never heard George speak outside of F1's YouTube channel, but I thought he did a good job balancing F1 questions with non F1 topics, and had a good sense of humor with the CEO.
He DID literally use the words "it's like I have my girlfriend sitting on my head" when describing the G forces on his head/helmet during a turn.
There were stifled chuckles…

Weather is great for fans today but looks like the wind is giving drivers some issues
The radio earmuffs they sell at the track are $160. But they are also Bluetooth headphones which means I could use them for work calls if I wanted to. Technically that would make them a business expense right?

No rain so far. It's actually been really nice today with eh off and on cloud cover. The Porsche Carrera qualifying got a little wild at times. Several spin outs around turn 8 and 9

McLaren has a full siz car made of Lego and they are letting people make one for free with an exclusive stand for the USGP. They guy I talked to said you should be able to collect on for all the races this season
By the way, those blue Ferrari hats Jorrger(sp?) tipped us off to are selling for $120. I was going to buy the matching shirt till I saw it was $225.
I bought 3 on that sale he told us about and then nearly tripled my money on eBay.

Except verstappen did the exact same thing to Sainz to start the race and nothing from the stewards. Thats the inconsistency we know and love.
I guess I just don't understand the rules - Max and Lando were essentially even (I guess depending on the definition of where exactly the Apex is) entering the turn, and Max left the track forcing Lando off.
Dont know what Lando could have done there to stay on the track other than slam on his brakes to avoid hitting Max.

Ive been watching intently for almost 20 years. The stewards have always been wildly inconsistent. The best teams have often been the teams that were better lawyers arguing with the stewards. Red Bull is very good at it.

Agree. He was fully off the track, too. This is why the racing rules in IndyCar are much better, in my view. The way track limits are enforced in F1 is such a joke, to me. It could have literally decided the championship right there.

Lando and McLaren should have immediately given the place back and then you don't get the five second penalty and you still are in a position to overtakeSydB92 said:

Had Max stayed inside the white lines, I'd have more tolerance for the penalty.

And there-in lies the problem. Max got off the brakes just enough to be ahead and as it is currently written, has more leeway..

COTA will never learn about water stations and traffic. I. wish the US tracks had it like overseas.

I do think it felt like COTA is not Mexico 2.0 anymore. McLaren fanbase is growing in this track. I saw girls coordinate a Lando Lawn on TikTok and sure thing they showed up.
I was in Turn 12 and think this will be my spot now. You can see a lot of action happen here. Lando and Max fight mostly happened here (including the overtake).
Merch still way overpriced. Miami hats at $120 was surprisingly a deal when you see how much they go for on eBay when the demand is high. Blue hats and shirt sold out by Sunday.
also I saw Isack Hadjar (Red Bull junior and currently P2 in the F2 title battle) and stopped him to chat and a photo and none of the fans waiting recognized so maybe the US doesn't deserve F2 yet lol

How much were tickets at turn 12 for the day or weekend?
$671.67 to be exact. I did Turn 15 last year which imo is also a really, really good location as you can see all that action as well but you are closer to the main overtaking corner on Turn 9.
