On the surface I can't really say I blame Verstappen.

I do think Hamilton was screwed over last year, but that's not Max's fault. He was playing the hand he was dealt.

Great start by Perez. Absent a mistake, no one is going to touch Max and that RB.

I think it's a pretty good roll of the dice, especially for Louis. You're not going to win this race trying to cover RB.

Got to think Danny Ricc gets penalized for that move

Really dumb move. On fresh softs he would have passed Tsunoda in a lap or two anyway.

Good on Sergio. A podium in your home Grand Prix.

Even with the dumb move that led to the 10 second penalty, Danny had a great drive today.

Your not wrong, but the British media continuing to take shots at Max about it is classless but that is what passes for journalism today...

The ending of last year's race was crazy but the skysports and Merc whining is played out especially since Merc can't even come close to competing this year. All they have is talk while RB racks up wins.

There is currently a "Las Vegas Grand Prix Test Event" open to the public on Ticketmaster. Not sure if it's legit or not, but it lists 3 day tickets @ $1,500/each (plus fees).

Tried out the AMEX presale today. GA was sold out in 5 minutes. Seats by the MSG Sphere were $2K each, and seats near the Paddock were $2,500 each.

I had a hotel on the strip booked, but it looks like I'll be watching this one from the couch.

Yep and hospitality suites were $8k each. I passed. My wife and I can fly to Europe for a race for cheaper that just those tickets.

If the hotel wasn't crazy expensive it would be fun to just be there. i was talking to a mutual friend and he was trying to book a corner suite facing the strip in the cosmopolitan every week in November. Wonder if it worked out for him.

Was that for next year's race or the event this weekend?

I considered the same thing. Marriott doesn't let you book until 50 weeks out.

Yeah same here. Miami is $1000ish for Turn 8 but I'd rather fly to Europe again to see Formula 2 and FIA F3 since America doesn't get any good feeders. Barcelona is more enticing than Vegas. You can get paddock club for 2 days for one person for the same price as 2 3-day grandstands in Vegas.

It's interesting how there are no FIA ticketed areas anywhere along the strip. Wonder if the individual hotels/casinos plan on doing their own ticketed areas on the strip. Hopefully the regular sidewalks and elevated walkways along the strip remain open to the general public because that's how I'll plan to go see the race. No need to worry about lodging since I can stay with a family friend.

Good luck. I'm sure the City will close off the best views and charge for them.

I fully expect the pedestrian bridges will be closed off completely. Can't have spectators dropping **** on to the race track while cars are driving by at 180mph.

I'm sure the homeless would be dropping literal **** off those things.
