I guess I saw it different than the stewards and you guys. Not sure what Russel was supposed to do there and it I think Sainz may have turned in on him a little.

Yeah Sainz turned in towards the apex on the racing line

Russel didn't turn at all because he didn't have control towards the apex

So I agree that Sainz is the only one of the two that turned

Yeah while he's in 3rd after starting 12th

And to a car/driver that's about to wrap back to back drivers and a manufacturers championships

I don't know how you watch his pass on Checo and back and forth with Max but takeaway he lost 4 seconds while Max chased down Lewis for the lead

My takeaway is he's not quite on the level of max. Is he close? Yes. Is he absolutely in the thick of that next tier? Yes.

Max is just way ahead of everyone else this year. And just how Charles came from out of the top 10, max did that with a 11 second pit stop….so with the fortune of Charles pitting under a safety car, and Max's stop, that's like a 15+ second advantage

I'm not really getting what you're trying to prove I guess.

Charles absolutely has the ability to compete for the title, that doesn't mean Max isn't the better driver right now.

Just like the last couple years before Max won he had the ability to compete with Hamilton. There's not another driver on the grid with a better chance of upsetting Max than Charles the next few years imo. Rus is fast but needs to mature similar to Charles the last couple seasons.

If Ferrari wasn't managing races like Ferrari most of the season the WC and MC would still be on going.

Great weekend. COTA made a lot of improvements with traffic, busses, vendors, etc. Glad we went again. Race was definitely exciting. Will be hard to decide if we'll try one of the other tracks next year or come back to Austin.

It's such a great race with multiple opportunities to overtake. Last year it was my daughter and I that went and this year it was all four of us. Allowed us to really get the most out of the two days we were at COTA. After the race my son had to pick up a laptop from the parents of a friend to take back and the elevator ride back up from the lobby was a fun one - my son, Christian Horner and his wife, Helmut Marko, and Adrian Newey. They had just arrived at the hotel from COTA so my son was thinking the traffic was for everyone to enjoy,
