How long do you want to ignore this user?

Haven't heard back but you can always just show up to FM 812 or Elroy Road with $50-60 in cash and get a spot around the area. This may be what I do. I will do that on Friday so I can report back. There is a spot called Pat
s Parking that I contacted that are doing $50 a day so I may just do that, but I am mostly looking for anything on FM 812 for a quicker exit.

If the guy I got my parking from last year gets back to me (emailed him last week) I'll share his info. I was in and out from that road in under 5 minutes. Walk to main grandstand was 15-20 mins but I rather that than be stuck for an hour and a half trying to get out of Cota Blvd.

But a lot of neighbors will be selling parking spots on their backyard. I recall $60 was the max on Sunday. Just try to avoid Elroy Rd. imo. I remember I parked on the guy's house on FM 812 and when leaving I took that road then turned left on Burklund Farm Rds and that's how I avoided all the traffic.

Any insights on parking? Going on Saturday and want ito avoid the shuttles! Thanks!!

I have been parking at Turn 1 which is Lot T.

I get there early and ignore the parking lot attendants and park pretty close to the gate so I can come back out to my car during breaks and cool off and just relax. There's always a ton of spaces open up close if you get there fairly early.

This year since we're only coming up for Sunday I will probably park along FM 812 somewhere and then drive straight South away from the track after the race. You avoid the gridlock if your seats are close to Turn 1.

We did park in those cash lots the first couple of years before I found Lot T which allowed us to avoid the hill when we switched to the grandstand seating.

I have personally never used the shuttles but I've read plenty of horror stories, especially if there's rain and the crowds are walking along the road backing up the shuttles. Last year I saw several people making the 1.5 mile walk from the track to the far parking lot on FM 812 South. I guess they got tired of waiting.

Thank you both!

Is Lot T a cash lot or you need a pass? I am on T19 so doesn't look super far

Pass
Stubhub had some a couple of weeks ago but there's nothing on there right now. I would keep looking or just use the cash lots.

Williams will have a pop up shop on Congress. I went to the London one and they had Latifi there one day. Hoping they have Sargeant show up one day for a M&G

Anybody going to Austin's race weekend? If so, any advice? We'll be there Friday, but are also interested in Saturday if anyone has extra tickets.

My son and I are going on Saturday. I have three tickets for sale. I paid ~$280 apiece for them but will sell for less. Others in my family ended up not being able to go with us. The seats are at Turn 12 section 6 row 28. Let me know if interested.

I've listed these 3 tickets for $188 each on Stubhub. I'm surprised they have not sold. I'll sell them for less to somebody here. Let me know if you're interested.

Control, likely. I'd expect they want full creative control, which everyone else also wants to keep.

Alfa just announced Theo Pourchaire for a reserve role for next year and will be running FP1 next weekend. That makes 2 current F2 drivers running FP1 in Austin

Andretti tried to buy Alfa Romeo (Sauber) a couple of years ago but the deal fell through. As for Haas, I don't think Gene is looking to sell. And like the previous poster mentioned, he would have to give up some control if he takes on a partner.

I also get the feeling that Andretti doesn't want to partner with an existing team because he wants to be in control.

Checo and Becky G will be at SoHo House next Thursday. I'll be there to get Checo on a few things when he arrives/leaves.

I know it's not the same but a major title sponsor will be announced for Haas next week. They just scheduled today the press conference at COTA for Thursday at noon.

Its an 2018 car with updated livery. That's what all teams do for show cars. Only a few get gearbox/engine for demos

Pat's Parking (on FB) has spots for the weekend. $40 a day. It's on Elroy Road. $120 for the weekend is not too bad, should be a 20-25 min walk to Main Gate.

Shuttle from downtown was great this morning. They actually have a dedicated lane once you turn on elroy. We'll see how it goes with more people but it's looking better than last year.
