I mean obviously that there's a tractor on the track while he's out there is the biggest wtf. Me asking about gasly wasn't my "takeaway" from the video. It was just a question I had.
Not watching the race so don't have context. But I assume the race was red flagged for a reason, figured that tractor was part of the reason? So, yeah, why is gasly out and going that quick when it's red flagged?

Yeah. Looked like he sped up after the incident, though, when it was obviously red flagged.
Again, not blaming the incident on gasly. Think it's 100% on F1 for having a tractor on the track in terrible conditions, visibility. But gasly's driving there was curious to me.

That felt like an awful way to secure the championship. I'd have much rather it become official in Austin and in a real race.
I went back and watched the first lap from Gasly's camera. He can barely see anything then all of a sudden there part o a barrier on the front of his car. He was driving blind for a bit and having his team tell him where other cars were so he didn't hit him. I'm amazed more people didn't wreck out.
Did you see the onboard from Hamilton too!? Same thing except he barely missed it.
I was really hoping Max would clinch in Austin but glad he won.

How many times this season have we seen a 1-2 battle of LeClerc vs. Max/Checo, only to see the RB win and LeClerc get a frustrating 2nd? It seems like a lot.
That wasn't Sunday. Sunday was as dominant a victory as you'll ever see. Max averaged almost a second faster a lap for the entire race.

I don't understand what you're saying. Mercedes having a crappy car to start the year is irrelevant to this argument as this is last year's upgrades, finances, and world championship fight.

This thing is going to come out to be a bunch of financial arguments on how it is classified and 'what counts vs what doesn't'. Sure feels a lot like arguing with health insurance on how they coded the claim.

I think it is more that the FIA is unable to put out reasonable and understandable rules regarding financial reporting. Immediately after failing the previously season with a totally separate issue related to rules and procedures not being clear. So everyone gets to live with two years of RB/Max tainted WCs due to fairly basic rule/procedures that the FIA is unable to get right. I think everyone on all sides has a right to be upset with leadership in the sport.
I think there is a pretty equitable solution; withhold Red Bull's constructor winnings for 2021 or 2022 with a warning that they will be thrown out for 2022 if found in breach again.
Ultimately, the overspend wouldn't have really helped them in 2021, in theory. The overspend would have contributed to the 2022 car being clear best on the grid, more than anything else. Although some developments were made to the 2021 cars, most teams were focused on the 2022 car development throughout the year. JMO.

It'll be a big deal if the other teams want to make it a big deal. If everyone has some shady accounting, you'll see this swept under the rug because they all get caught if someone looks into it. If Red Bull was doing something extremely different than the others you can bet they'll all come out with their pitchforks. Others beyond Mercedes I'll say...Mercedes has a different argument to make since they were most directly affected by that one last upgrade that might've assisted Red Bull pulling out one last lap in one last race.

But a lot of neighbors will be selling parking spots on their backyard. I recall $60 was the max on Sunday. Just try to avoid Elroy Rd. imo. I remember I parked on the guy's house on FM 812 and when leaving I took that road then turned left on Burklund Farm Rds and that's how I avoided all the traffic.
Any insights on parking? Going on Saturday and want ito avoid the shuttles! Thanks!!
