Yep. To me the biggest 'back story'to this race is how terrible Ferrari's strategy and decision making (or lack of) was the entire time.

That was such a fun/exciting race.

The ending was great, with the top four battling it out Max did good getting points with a broken car.

I was on the edge of my couch when Checo and Ham were at each other towards the end.

Holy smokes, they ignored Perez making a move the entire race. His drive was so incredible

True - incredible race. However, prior to the safety car he was looking like only a 6-7th place finish. He was in 4th but needed another pit stop (he had gone medium-medium) which would have dropped him at least two spots.

At least I think that's why he wasn't getting a lot of commentary. But that said, as soon as Ocon stopped, I was thing how great of a break that was going to be for Perez. But Hamilton is all the commentators wanted to talk about (I was listening to F1, but assume sky was even even more focused on Hamilton).

Yeah, I accidentally saw a short part of the post race, before the race was over...due to my stupid DVR. Based on their conversation, I thought Hamilton had won.

He was going to go from last to 5th or 6th without the yellow. That's insane and it went completely ignored because OMG Hamilton had the lead after a Ferrari stop. Who cares, Hamilton was going to have to stop anyways. I was really hoping he would get left off the podium due to the drool fest. Which is sad because I was rooting for him as the underdog at the start

What a weekend. What a race. F2 Logan Sargeant giving us his first race win right before July 4th. F3 double Prema podium. W Series was unfortunately a dull tho lol but super happy to see Nerea Marti getting into the points right behind Belen.

The place is just fantastic. Lots of amazing, incredibly friendly fans, who are super passionate about their British drivers.

Heading to London now. Flying back tomorrow to Austin. Then time to decide between Imola or Barcelona next spring lol.

That being said, massive respect to the drivers that after having a long day full of their on track job, debriefs, and media, stop for fans that have been waiting for them for hours just to send them home happy even when they are super tired and just want to head to their rooms.

Major respect to Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, George Russell, K Mag, and Danny Ric.

Get to Heathrow early. I flew out of there a couple weeks ago, and it was crazy busy.

Whatever they did with the battery and fuel cell is obviously super worth it. I think it took upwards of 15 minutes to extricate him. If fire had been involved I feel like it would be hard to convince me he would be alive now.

Think that was his point. Look at Grosjean and how quickly he got out. Now look at how long it took to get Zhou out since he was stuck in that weird spot between the fence
