I would say it was a choke if their pit strategy, or the drivers binned the cars. These are mechanical issues.

So, it's no coincidence that both RB engines **** the bed after the yellows, which is odd considering they weren't pushing them. Will be interested to see what's the cause

Yeah. At a glance, it doesn't seem to be the same problem that took out Max and Checo. But maybe they are related. I wonder if Gasly's problem and Max's are similar and Max got his stopped before it caught fire.
