I think they wear them like that because right under the knee is their first point of contact when they hit the floor if they have to reach for a low pass! Not 100% sore though!

Thanks, Taylor- that makes sense.

Didn't show the score at one point for about 6 points.

Felt like their best game of the season. Played with tremendous athleticism. Both outsides were unstoppable for stretches. Tons of great defensive plays. Liking this team more and more as the season goes. Just gotta correct those service and receive errors.

Perhaps, but also a reflection of a poor opponent. Houston is not good.

Still don't believe this team will be able to score against mid to upper tier teams with the current crop of hitters.

I agree this team is making excellent strides from its first matches!! Morgan Christon really surprised me yesterday! She showed power she hadn't been showing before. Her defense is still a liability, but she's improving! Lauren Davis taking that week off was huge cause she looked crazy good out there!! Add that with Talbert and Austin Roark in the middle looking better, and Ennis, Voss, and Carrabine all improving their digs and passing good things can happen! We must continue to keep improving though! Our receiving and first pass should improve as the season goes on! Let's hope for two sweeps today!

Houston is better than you think. They are just not some walkover. They beat Oregon State, Oklahoma, and Mississippi State. While those aren't the strongest programs, they are from power 5 conferences.

Last night was the best they played all season. Serve receive was better, Camielle made much better decisions, we didn't let them go on huge runs.

Important thing is they showed improvement

Reason for ten minute delay in 2nd set- rotation or sub error- cost us a point?

Yup, but that is on the ref. The ref didn't correctly check the lineup before they went out. So I wouldn't think too much about it

Easy win for our girls!! I know it's Albany but the girls displayed intensity and focus on the defensive side of the ball!! Middles looked great! Next match is against UTSA at 7:30!

Correct...Bird put in DS on lineup but Morgan went in ...wasnt fixed by R2 when cheking lineup so she played the first couple of points when not suppose to be in the game

only can correct points during term of service so Houston got to keep the ball after their serve

Houston is exactly who I think they are....a would-be cellar dweller in the SEC.
Glad the team did what they should do against that type team, but still lack plus hitters that will allow this team to finish in the top half of the conference.

Houston is a pretty solid team and we had to play pretty well to beat them in four. They didint play well against Albany but setter and libero positions are solid as well as pins when not getting tired

We have played much better this past weekend they say we did Monday or even in the win afainst Cal Poly

I think we have a solid lineup out there. Still looking for a third DS to step up consistantly. Voss did really well this weekend and Monday. Ennis dug quite a few balls in RB. Cox hit well from RS in replacement of Rush.

Our third middle Bowser got much needed reps in the middle and CC Hiect got some swings against them as well making for the fact she could play front row effectively to start or finish a set if we run out of subs but Morgan and Lauren look to solidify the OH positions

If someone is having an off night at the pins we can adjust in game or after the set if over.

Consistancy will be the key moving forward and better OOS swings which was an improvement over the last couple of weeks.

Agreed. Macy is playing better, which is allowing us to be in system more often. Houston is not a walkover as alluded to be the previous colleague. It will be a good win.

Morgan is coming on and Destiny is bringing consistency to the RS. You can start to see the potential there. This tam does have some nice tools in place.

I disagree.

Houston is a very solid team that could be the best team in their conference and will probably make the NCAAs. It was easily our best win of the season so far and if we played at that level consistently we would be a middle of the pack SEC team and probably an at-large NCAA team. Houston will play at actual SEC cellar dweller Alabama on Friday and we will know a little more about both.

Not that being middle of the pack in conference is anything we should celebrate, but it's better than I thought we were based on the horrid start to the season.

A&M Volleyball travels to San Marcos to take on Texas State at 6! The game is on the ESPN App on ESPN+ Texas State took a set from a top ten Ohio team and took down SEC for Alabama! Good test before Texas on Friday! Let's hope our girls haven't overlooked the Bobcats!

I watched the ending of the 3rd set. All I saw were sets to the OH. No middle sets nor right side sets. One dimensional.
A win is a win.

Our middles have been playing well so that was odd, I wonder if we were just focusing on outside hitting tonight as an area of improvement! Maybe we use the entire front against Texas, we're going to need to!
