Good points. Couple more things to consider. If #1 rehabs and is back, she has the potential to be special as well. We saw that at Tenn. If 11 comes back, she has the leadership and experience but not same athlete as #9. Which frosh setter has the nod is up for debate. Whoever it is, should work on connections all day long. Seemed like even with our All American, we missed on the connection a lot more than we should haveโ€ฆ

The most frustrating aspect of our play this year, to me, was the complete lack of consistency in serve receive. I watch a ton of college volleyball, from the top teams in the top conferences to mid-major and below. Maybe I was just watching with a more critical eye, but I don't recall any team that struggled in serve receive more than we did. Or that shuffled lineups more than we did. We had no shortage of girls getting an abundance of chances back there and we just couldn't get it figured out. It's not as flashy as our need for a dominant outside, but we desperately need to improve there next year if we want to see significant improvement (in my opinion).

Fair point. All teams can get better there, including ours. Sometimes a libero needs to be more selfish and just call everyone off. In a lot of cases, it comes down to either trusting your teammate to take a ball. If we look at RE% for the year, #9(libero)finished at .945 while #11(ending libero)and #16(OH)finished at .900. #5 at .944(DS)#8(OH)finished at .889, #3(DS)finished at .879, so she will need a major improvement if she wants to compete at libero next year. For perspective, our libero in 2019 was at .950. That said, I think a lot of good teams, take out their OH to play the %. They use the subs they have and let the passers pass. Will it always work, no, but play the %. Bottom line serving in the SEC is excellent, so our passing needs to be also

In every mach I watched, we were out of system more than the other team. Tough to win matches that way, especially without a big advantage at the net, which we didn't have.

I don't know whether to believe the accusations or not and I am in no position to check them out.

If only we had a group or organization dedicated to following A&M sports that had, like, a website or something that could send, you know, reporters out to investigate this stuff.

Not sure why I am putting myself through this, but I am watching the tourney matches and Hawaii just went up 2-1 on MS and looks really good. I think I remember someone on this thread calling them out earlier in the year when we lost to them. I guess it makes me feel better somehow. Also SC got roofed by WKU, TN won, FL and UK will win. MS needs to step up b/c it will be good for SEC and our future teams! GigEm

MSU Lost in 5 to Hawaii. Tough loss, remindful of several aggie VB losses! USCe lost to #17 WkU 3-0, so that was an uphill battle. Fla & UK rolled their opponents 3-0 in their matches & UTenn won theirs 3-1.

One thing I don't understand about volleyball is the damn box scores! UK scored 75 points in 3 match wins but the boxscore shows 65 in total points?

50 kills + 5 aces + 10 blocks out of 18 for points = 65

Yet total blocks = 18, but only shows 10 in the boxscore and total points = 66?

Opponent had 17 errors? I thought all their errors would be points for Kentucky? Where or to what extent does that come into play? So where did the other points come(75-65) and how should they be accounted for in the boxscore?

Taylor, anonymity is difficult in forums like this, but please consider that I'm not "TheQuietPart," have no idea who they are, and have never posted here before.

I'm simply one of many people who can corroborate some deeply concerning truths, and hopefully one of many who care enough about the program to speak out about it. Again, all of what has been said can be verified.

Should stuff like this be reported or flagged? Maybe, Maybe not. It was obvious Sumlin had difficulty with the football program and posts shedding light on that were scrubbed. Then after his dismissal, you have all the stories coming out and you wonder why didn't they pull the trigger sooner.

Anyway, like I said earlier nothing is going to put out there until the decision is made.

If you can verify these allegation why don't YOU and QUIET PART talk to AD yourself instead of a message board.
This board is not for the purpose of statements like that being made

Personally I am surprised that TWO rookie accounts have decided to air this information and haven't been ever on Texags to discuss program. That is amazing to me that you know all about what is going on (even if true) but never posted before but then decide to make accounts AFTER.

There are plenty of people who think their are problems associated to the program but we discuss the play on the court rather than allegations that suddenly come up regardless of after the season.

This.

If any of that post was true, you go to the administration, they will do a thorough investigation and the coaches will be fired. IF the allegations are true, that's what needs to be done.

The post was deleted because I (and possibly others) flagged it. I did that is because I don't like to see rumors that hurt the volleyball program on a public forum. Keep in mind that I would like to see this coach run off and I'm on the record saying that several times. But this just isn't the right way to do things.

Kills
Opp Hitting Errors
Opp serving errors
Opp ball handling errors
Along with some weird exceptions

An opponent hitting error is already given for a block and blocks given to individuals that make a composite block they each get one so two are counted individually but only one block is made by the team if that makes sense

Saw a little of IL matchโ€ฆ that BIG10 team was smarter with decision making. Off speed, cut shots, tool the block. Plus, to use a common bball term, their length is just more apparent than the SEC. We have great athletes, BIG10 has great big athletes. They just touch more and give their defenders more opps to run down the digs. Team I really enjoyed watching was GT. The coaches, players and fans are bought in! It's an emotional game and they let it all go. Ultimately, it all comes down to heart. As an Aggie, are you really bought in or social media passionate? There is a distinct difference. Look out for Georgia Tech.

UTenn is out by virtue of getting beat by Ohio state 3-1. So not a good showing by the SEC at all! Ark beat SFA to stay alive in the NVIT (?) tournament

NU looked good! Great serving! Their defense was all over the court. I believe they have 3 freshman starting which includes the #1 recruit from last year.
Being in the Big 10 helps with games like this. Apparently, the ACC this year too.

Great game but makes me sad how far the Aggies are to be able to play like that. Also, I know we hate the sips but what I wouldn't give for an atmosphere like that.... Well, not the "we... Are... Texas" crap...

Can't believe we are paying $255k for a .500 winning % overall and .389 winning % in an average volleyball conference.

B1G is the best VB conference in the country. Wiscy has had Nebraska's number of late in very close matches but NU hitting their stride. I expect a 5 set match down to the wire. Huskers!

Fascinating matchup of Wisconsin's veterans (plus a 6-9 freshman, of course) versus Nebraska's freshmen leading hitters.
