I think I'm starting to lose my taste. That's much worse than I thought it would be. I started having some stomach issues today so I tried some peanut butter crackers and it was awful. I can still taste most fruit though so that's good.

Any other suggestions?

It's so odd. I have never lost my taste or smell, but it seems so different for everyone.

I had lots of fever too. Mostly always low grade but it came back everyday so consistently.

I was at 102 last night. I've been in the 101s pretty consistently. Haven't taken anything for the fever since 2:30 and I'm at 98.9.

I bet that was awesome Rex. I had a great night here. Finally slept and didn't use any oxygen. I'm feeling really good about getting out of here today. The nurses are waiting on the final word for my discharge and to get with the medical supply company for my at home oxygen.

I admit that I did use the O2 during sleep last night. I had not needed it the last couple of nights in the hospital, but when you're there, they are monitoring you. I will probably go without tonight. I am not using it right now. Figure I need to only use it for a few minutes if needed.

Feeling ok, but no real change. Need to get on my stomach more. Was able to lay here this morning on my side without the non rebreather mask and just a cannula keeping my o2 around 90%. I wish the progress was better/quicker, but I trust the process and I am a patient man. With God on my side, it will be good.

Hang in there. Literally overnight things improved dramatically for me. The doctors and nurses here say they see that quite often, slow improvements followed by miracle type improvements. Continued prayers for you and your family.

Haven't been able to follow this thread but curious what the lowest O2 sat anyone here has hit? Friend of a friend allegedly was going to the hospital with a sat of 62 last night and would be put on a vent. Guy in his 30s. Seems like prognosis is really bad I would imagine? Can it even get that low? I'm hoping something got lost in translation and maybe thats an arterial oxygen level in mmHg instead of an O2 sat level.

Mine was around 75 when I checked in and I was miserable. I couldn't imagine that 62 being correct. Prayers for that person.

I know someone admitted unconscious at 68, he never regained consciousness and did not survive two weeks ago. Wishing your friend a better outcome.

Nope. And his wife is a nurse who is the same. She is even anti flu-shot somehow. It's creates a really challenging emotional landscape because they should know better so it's easy to be frustrated but at the same time they are humans and I don't wish what is happening to him on anyone.
